IV&V Associate Test Engineer
Performed IV& V analysis and documentation for the DHS/CBP modernization
Program, ACE, (the Automated Commercial Environment). Duties included
monitoring requirements gathering and documentation by client and
contractor, particularly in regards to testing and traceability; test plans
and cases creation - both documentation and process; use case development;
and software life cycle maintenance. Requirements were monitored primarily
through Microsoft Word documents and through documentation in Use Cases and
Test Cases.
Observations and evaluations were then submitted in reports to my
supervisor for compiling and editing for a bi-weekly report to the Client
as to the state of the process as investigated by IV&V. The team was also
responsible for answering questions and providing options and alternatives,
informally and formally, based on our observations and experience.

Software Tester
Planning and testing on workflow package (Form339) for Air Force logistics
at Hill AFB, and on an information management system called Enterprise
Elucidator (LUCY), which was to be independently marketed. Work on both
projects included full Black Box and Regression testing, and creation of
test cases based on product knowledge and usage. Defect logging and follow
up testing were included in this process, as well as training Documentation
and being their prime source for questions regarding the software, as well
as reviewing their work for accuracy. Due to the lack of formal
Requirements, testing was based on personally produced and maintained Word
documents.

Responsible for the creation and execution of test cases and plans for a
wireless platform called Aether Fusion and a wireless synchronization
package called ScoutSync. Fusion testing involved Black Box testing of GUI
against requirements and product knowledge. ScoutSync dealt with wireless
synchronization of handheld computers and devices. Position included Black
Box and Regression testing, Requirements review, Test Case creation, and
defect tracking, as well as review and editing of documentation.
Requirements consisted of Excel documents primarily created and maintained
by the QA staff based upon interviews and information with management.
