Energy Transportation Corporation, transporting liquid methane gas

from Indonesia to Japan. The eight ship company, ships built in

Quincy, Massachusetts, utilized new technology and design to transport

Liquefied Natural Gas on a scale never before attempted.

. Developed standardized practice for Company Operations Manual and

testing procedures for United States Coast Guard which are still in

use today. This led to becoming first U.S. Flag shipping Company to

receive ISO 9000 certification.

. Maintained perfect operational safety record for over 20 years.

. Member of supervisory management team, 1999 dry docking in Nagasaki

Japan, $14 million U.S. dollar project which was delivered on time and

direct coupled Burmiester and Wain main propulsion diesel engines.

. Extensive use of SAMM 5.0 Software program for preventive and

predictive maintenance, machinery history, & spare parts management.

Cargo System Engineer/1st assistant Engineer, Energy Transportation

Corporation, Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) transport

. Operation and maintenance of cargo systems on 125,000 cubic meter

capacity LNG carrier; loading, discharge, vaporizing, boil off and

heel management, cargo tank warm-up, inerting and cool-down.

. Schedule and performance of maintenance tasks and voyage repairs.

. Supervision of major repairs and modifications during bi annual dry

docking of the ship.

. Performed calibration and repair of all monitoring and control

systems; use of P& ID's.

. Maintained onboard cargo systems support, including spare parts

ordering and inventory, machinery history, preventive maintenance.

. Performed on board vibration analysis, alignment, and dynamic

balancing of rotating machinery; infrared survey of electrical

equipment.

. Use of Microsoft Office, software based preventive maintenance

schedule, spare parts control, machinery history record keeping and on

board computer network.

1st Engineer/Second Assistant Engineer, Energy Transportation Corporation

Operation, maintenance and repair of 42,000 shaft horsepower ship

board power plant. System included marine

boilers 260,000 lb/hr, 1100 psi pressure, steam turbine propulsion

and reduction gears.

. Troubleshoot and repair monitoring and control systems, including dual

fuel boiler combustion controls, power generation, turbine- driven and

diesel engine driven 3 phase generators and related distribution

systems.

. HVAC and refrigeration up to 100 tons, fuel and lube oil systems,

flash type salt water evaporators, steam turbine and electric motor

driven: pumps, air compressors, control and manual valves and all

related auxiliaries.

. Conducted water testing and conditioning for steam propulsion boilers

and diesel engines.

. Management of nine person engine department including allocation of

work hours observing Union Contracts and OP 90 legislation, overtime

budgets,assignment of tasks, and safety training .

. Performed supervisory and hands on role in biannual 4 week dry-

docking.

. Implementation of maintenance and overhauls performed by shops

personnel as well as supervision inspection and sign off on ship yard

performed jobs.

. Operational and safety testing of machinery and control systems for

United States Coast Guard annual and bi annual inspections.

. Participation Beta Testing on Date/Shipper reliability analysis

program as conducted on Liquefied Natural Gas carriers.
