SUMMARY
An experienced electronics technician with a versatile background applying
principals of electronics theory to troubleshooting, maintenance and repair
of equipments and components. Able to grasp complex information and apply
it across the board. Proven track record for continuous process improvement
efforts. Demonstrated ability to train technicians in the electronics
field.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Electronics
. Operated, diagnosed, repaired and maintained flight simulators,
communications equipment and copiers. Used a variety of test equipment,
technical manuals and publications, diagrams, specifications and schematics
to perform necessary functions.
. Performed diagnostics on a variety of electronics equipment.
. Troubleshot equipment circuit stages, isolating specific problems.
. Implemented planned and preventative maintenance programs to reduce
casualty maintenance frequency.
Major accomplishments: As a student, aided Naval instructor in identifying
a system common clock which resulted in connectivity of four communication
subsystems. This connectivity improved the classroom learning aid, allowing
students to benefit from the four systems while at the same time reducing
redundancies and learning time.
Instructional Duties
. Taught basic electricity, electronics circuit theory, electro-
mechanical device operation and application, and interpretation and use of
technical materials.
. Mentored students during a practical application instruction period,
teaching students to apply systematic troubleshooting methods and
diagnostic skills.
. Tested students to ensure theory could be practically applied for
graduation purposes. In addition, performed field tests to ensure course
objectives were being applied in the field.
Major accomplishments: When teaching NAVMACS A+ operations, identified
additional teaching aids previously not used during the practical
application portion of the course. Implemented the use of these aids, thus
reinforcing lesson objectives in order to increase the effectiveness of the
classroom process.
Equipment Experience
. CAE, Digital B737-800NG Full Flight Simulator
. REDIFFUSION, Digital, KE-3, E-3 Flight Simulator.
. REFLECTONE, Digital, E-6A/B Operational Flight Trainer.
. REDIFFUSION, Digital, B-1B Weapons System Trainer.
. LINK, Analog, KC-135A Static and Mobile Flight Simulators.
. Communications Equipment including: SATCOM (NAVMACS A+), HF, VHF, UHF
. SAVIN 700 Copier Series Family
Major Accomplishments: Contributed to 99.8% reliability, B-737 FFS, 97.3%
(4 point rise) yearly QA Inspection results of RSAF, Flight Simulator
Division, and 99.7% E-6A/B, 98.3% B-1B, 99.9% KC-135A mission reliability.
Significantly lowered normal communications equipment casualty report
ratios.
