Description : The client is one of the leading nation's preeminent distributors of natural

gas. A Fortune 1000 company that ranks No. 46 in the Fortune gas and utilities sector

Provides service through six utilities, two gas storage facilities and an asset management

company and Currently 2.2 million natural gas customers (and growing rapidly). Alliance

Data has had a long standing relationship with AGLR and continues to provide a variety

of services, Customer Information System is one of the application used by client who

stores all the data related to customers and does a billing for the customers.

The main part of this system is billing, using the meter read (gas consumed by the

customer) the bills are produced and sent to the customers. CIS consists of both ONLINE

and BATCH, online is nothing but CICS screens and TSO region is used as backend,

there is nightly batch cycle which extracts the meter reads and bills the customer

accordingly.

CIS also handles the processing the orders Turn on, turn off and various other orders,

there is also other application know as CMA (Customer Management Application) this is

user friendly application developed using .net & SQL server, Authorized users can surf

the customer information, it also handles the processing of orders, this application is

mainly used by customer care executives.
