• Develop, maintain and enhance the financial pathways for both the professional
and technical services.
• Using the SMS INVISION product, developed automated charge pathways and
cash receipt pathways to accommodate Point of Service activities including
interviewing, analyzing current processes and developing pathways for
implementation.
• As lead analyst, assisted in the development of cash receipt pathways for the
regional maternal clinics, outpatient, inpatient and emergency departments.
This required analyzing the collection methodology at the point of service. This
project is on- going as ancillary departments request to have this screen flow
adapted for their departmental process.
• Working with Outpatient Administration, developed a quick, concise pathway
allowing users to update a pre-registered case to a registered case, improving
patient flow within the clinic departments.
• Working with the Patient Finance Department, revised the charge entry
pathways to accommodate the use of Medicare Modifiers as mandated by
governmental regulations. This project is ongoing as government requirements
and revisions are issued.
• Working with specific ancillary departments, developed pathways that allowed
users to generate ancillary charges when services were performed with regard
to outpatient visits and inpatient stays. This allows for the quick and accurate
generation of charges when services are performed.
