Key Projects Handled in WIPRO:
5.1 NOKIA 3G Adaptations
Brief Description:
This is a maintenance project in Nokia account. Net Act is a Network Management System (NMS) from NOKIA. There are different 3G
network elements (E.g.: RNC, WBTS, WCELL, MGW, AXC). These Network elements will be sending the data to the Net Act in the form of
measurements. This data is collected by different processes in the Net Act and processed and the measurement data is stored in the database.
Using this data the reports are generated by the Report Builder. The plans are created for different measurements and these plans are activated
and deactivated in the AOM. Koala tool is an automated tool that generates all the xml files and all required .cc files that are used in the
Adaptations. When ever any modifications to the adaptations are to be automated, they have to be included in the koala.xml file.
Role in Project:
• As a Project Engineer I fixed some of the Pronto (Bugs) among which some are customer pronto and some are internal pronto.
• As a part of fixing pronto I did some modifications to the source code and to the configuration files as well. The code modifications
include xml files, .cc files (C++ code, Oracle files, Pl/SQL code, SQL Queries).
• I did the SCM related activities like CD building, Installation testing.
• I am involved in the testing activities, as a part of it, I have written the test cases for the bug’s fixes I have done(Used complex SQL
Queries as part of it).
• I closed some of the customer issues (Elentra cases). I have successfully contacted the customer through the elentra care box and
responded to their queries.(Elentras are issues raised by clients)
• I have good understanding of clear case commands as I have involved in the SCM activities.
• Worked on AOM (Administration of Measurements) application. AOM is used to create, activate and deactivate the measurements for
the Network Element.
• I used the SQL as a language to access the data base. Involved in some of the issues related to Report Builder which is a tool used to
generate the reports for summarized data using SQL.
5.2 T-Mobile Back porting
Brief Description:
Three adaptations are implemented and tested in this project. The adaptations are IHSPA, MGW and SG7 adaptations. This adaptation exits in
OSS5.1 which is back ported to OSS4.2. So these adaptations are implemented in OSS4.2 and SCV testing was done.
Role in Project:
• I run koala including some of the features for the corresponding adaptation (M14.3).I have run FETA for IHSPA and
MGW(Elements of telecom) Which includes SQL Queries and changing PL/SQL code .
• I wrote the test sets for MGW, SG7 and did SCV testing for IHSPA, MGW and SG7. I used SQL as a language to access the data
base.
• Used Report Builder efficiently in SCV which is a tool used to generate the reports for summarized data using SQL.
5.3 GTO Support
Brief Description:
This is a production support project. In this there are four applications. Below is the description of different applications.
Net Expert:
Net Expert is a scalable and distributable architecture that supports flexible configuration while maintaining individual component
independence. Its application packages address many areas of communication services management, including fault, performance, reporting,
activation, IP services, and others. These can be further tailored to individual customer environments and management. Net Expert is
considered an OSS
RFM
Real-time Fault Manager is the tool built on Java Technology that helps Customer Management Group (Network Technicians) to view and
manage alarms for Level3 Network and Customer Circuits. The application provides the ability to Real-time Fault Manager is the tool built on
Java Technology that helps Customer Management Group (Network Technicians) to view and manage alarms for Level3 Network and
Customer Circuits. The application provides the ability to Monitor and manage alerts for supported network elements that reside on the Level
(3) network. The RFM also support display of alerts for both Transport and Soft Switch elements
SPYGLASS
The Spyglass application was created to permit users to view and manage the Current state of the transport network. It gives users visibility to
both the termination points within network devices, and the physical and logical connections between them. Through Provisioning provides the
ability to channelize circuits, and can create Trunk group ID’s for managed modem customers
Voice Order Management Systems
The Voice Order Management System is the central order processing system for all Voice over IP products. The system supports order
processing services and a workflow engine to automate these business processes
Role in Project:
• Analysis of high end problems with relevant Inputs.
Very complex Queries of SQL are built daily. Many triggers and
Procedures (Pl/SQL) are built to solve the Issues
• Data Management: Oracle Reports are generated and sent to the users based on the data available.
• Test Management: Composite SQLQueries are used for testing the data

5.4 OE Conversion
Brief Description:
In OE conversion, the data is synchronized between various systems like Clarify, Seibel, and Pipeline and feed the valuable data for further
analysis for OE Conversion. The unwanted data is filtered and updated if required.

Project Description
Form Inventory System:
The main function of system is to standardize, automate and increase the data accessibility for the Registration, Renewals & Rejection of new & old
Boat, ATV & snowmobiles. The system is developed to create new format for Forms (e.g. registration form, renewal form etc) which will be either
going to replace old form or will be a new form. The system will also track the inventory of each Form & prints multiple reports including order
form and daily & monthly reports.
