MISSION
Assistant experienced in Television, Talent & Content Distribution, seeking
CEO/Agent's Assistant role.
PROFILE
I recently completed a temp assignment recruiting Sports Broadcast
players for the NFL over the holidays and am eager to return to Talent
Management. Being an assistant to creative executives in both Television
and Talent has given me the ability to interact with people at all levels
efficiently and effectively. I have provided reliable support to
executives by staying on top of new developments and addressing clients
needs as quickly as possible. My effectiveness has been gauged by my
ability to handle a high call volume on the desk, while keeping the office
running smoothly and finding solutions professionally.
My last position was assisting a busy TV Agent working in Alternative
Television at Creative Artists Agency (CAA). While temping for the agent, I
received a hands-on education on the business of talent management and the
flow of casting and negotiations. As with providing support to executives
managing iconic brands at VIACOM, working with a top agency to develop
creative content was very rewarding. It is truly an exciting time to be in
the entertainent industry, as new talent rises and the landscape of
partnerships in TV/Film development and distribution evolve.
At VIACOM, my main role was working as an assistant to the Senior
Director of Media Planning whom oversaw content distribution for 12 TV
networks. He managed hallmark properties including the "Jersey Shore", "The
Daily Show with Jon Stewart", "iCarly", "Iron Man" and "South Park." I was
responsible for daily administrative operations, phone and calendar
management in addition to acting as a liaise on multiple projects between
television networks and distributors such as Netflix, Hulu, iTunes and
XBOX. Meeting tight premiere dates required "packaging" product between
multiple teams from media planners to producers effectively to ensure
precise content launch dates.
I believe my experience with executives in fast-paced settings, and
balancing priorities would make me a strong asset to the CEO and their
clients. I look forward to the chance to be part of your team and
contribute my organizational and communication skills to your success.
Best,
Justin DeFreece
