. Monitored HSDPA /HSUPA testing, along with functionality testing like

IFHO and IRAT testing using Ericsson tool (TEMS 9.1.1/Agilent 6474A).

. Assigned UARFCN based on area, configured IP settings for servers for

HSDPA/HSUPA, call setup configuration, observed RRC messages.

. Monitored Call success rate, handover failure, blocked/dropped calls,

Wireless System Design

. Calculates BER vs SNR performance using below defined blocks using

Matlab.

. Blocks include Interleaver/De-interleaver, QPSK Mod/Demod, Space Time

Coding/Decoding (Viterbi), Pulse/Match filter, Rician channel and

Noise (AWGN).

. Additional functionality of Turbo (3,1,1) channel encoder and BCJR

decoder.

Information Theory and Coding

. Evaluates Data Rate vs Power graphs for CDMA 2000 and IS-95

technologies in Matlab

. Different transmitter/receiver diversity like SISO, SIMO, MISO and

MIMO.

. Power allocation schemes used are Water filling, equal power

allocation and channel Inversion.

MIMO

. Comparison of BER (Bit error rate) for 2x2 MIMO using Block code

(Alamouti) and Space Time code in Matlab environment.

Digital Communication

. Physical layer system simulation for WLAN with specification like

(Channel, payload, rollover factor, sampling factor, BPSK modulation,

MDD (Minimum distance detection) and MLSE (Maximum likelihood system

estimation) and (6,3,3) standard array coding.)

. TCP/IP/Ethernet protocols stack development between Ethernet

controller and PC.

. Ethernet controller acts as HTTP web page server for automated rover.

. Extracting data from web pages and forwarding it to automated rover.

Activities and Achievements

. Event Coordinator of IMAZE '08, a national level technical fair

organized by Sardar Patel University. I was responsible for Circuit

designing event which was targeted at freshman and sophomore year

students to test the knowledge with electronics components. The

circuits were created and tested by me.

. Cricket: played for G.H.Patel college cricket team from '04 to '08.
