Applications Coordinator - ASAP and OpTime
January 2007 to Present
I am certified in Epic ASAP, OpTime, and Chronicles up to version SUM09. I
will be certified in Epic Orders by Feb '11. My duties include complex
application management, implementation of major Epic upgrades of the
Emergency Dept, and coordination of KP's ASAP ED and OpTime application. I
was the lead for implementing the ED Observation Unit, creating an
additional $2.2 million annual profit for Kaiser. I possess a vast
knowledge of these applications and their configuration. I facilitate a
team approach to achieve organizational objectives, increase productivity
and enhance employee morale. I demonstrate vast knowledge of medical
terminology in order to communicate and work in partnership with
clinicians.

KP Health Connect (Epic) Site Specialist
September 2003 to January 2007
Duties included the management and supervision of support personnel and
performing as lead for multiple KP Health Connect Epic program deployments
throughout the Northwest region. These deployments included Epic Care
modules: ASAP, Inpatient, Ambulatory, Tapestry (Referrals), Cadence
(Scheduling), Practice Management, and various upgrades to these modules. I
provided direct and immediate end-user support services and training to
patient care teams in clinical work settings at five KP buildings to
facilitate the introduction, acceptance, integration, and effective use of
KP Health Connect Epic Care. Duties also included training, support, and
troubleshooting, of other applications, such as Lotus Notes, Results
Reporting (a medical report system). I have also trained, supervised, and
mentored up to 20 support personnel and performed as lead for multiple Epic
program deployments at Kaiser.

Duties involved the design, development, presentation, and communication of
the Next Generation Information Platform (NGIP) Support Portal, using SQL,
ASP, and JavaScript. This support portal was designed to consolidate all
documents, links, indicators, and general information for the various
support teams to provide better efficiency and ease of use. I developed
SQL queries on numerous databases in order to track metrics and indicators
regarding NGIP Support. I wrote and presented Project Requirements
Documents, design documents, project plans, and points of contact for each
of the projects described above.

Responsible for providing quality technical services to INTEL personnel, as
part of the highest tier of issue resolution support engineers.. Technical

network administration and maintenance of user and computer domains. I
also trained new employees, at various INTEL sites across the country, on
operating, upkeep, and troubleshooting of their computer systems.
