At every job, I have performed a variety of tasks. It is easier to
understand my skills when those tasks are grouped (as done below).
Asterisk
I was technical editor for VoIP Deployment for Dummies and Asterisk for
Dummies. I also am the board member of the Southern California Asterisk
Users Group, which has been active since January 2006.
At my current job I have installed Trixbox Vlaned it out for the network.
The phones they are using for the project is Aastra, Polycom, Linksys,
Soyo. We have IAXy ATAs also installed for external use for home offices.
Qual Pro has Nokia E51 WIFI phones using an Extricom LAN.
Webmaster
I am currently the webmaster of several sites: www.idk-net.net, www.oc-
bahai.org, www.tadiarice.com www.tahirihassociation.org,
www.socalasteriskug.org, I do the scripting and assist with design,
content, and search engine.
Postmaster
I am the postmaster for all of the domains where I am webmaster. I trouble-
shoot the system, build forwarding lists, monitor the domains for attacks.
LANs and WANs
Bank of America (B of A) merged with Security Pacific, I installed the LAN
between the two banking systems. At tAA, I install and administer a LAN
using NT, Linux, and Netware operating systems. I set up the Apache web
server, the DNS server, the FTP server,Amanda Portal, Jabber Server, and
the mail server. On that LAN, I administer FTP, Exim, RRAS, Firewall, VPN,
MySQL, OpenSSL, Stunnel, MS SourceSafe, and Jabber IM. My WAN experience
includes a WAN at tAA with a 56K-line dedicated circuit and router. I have
set up LANs using both Ethernet and Token Ring. These networks use NetBEUI,
TCP/IP, and IPX/SPX protocols.
Software Testing
I have tested tAA software products (a range of voice-mail systems), and
third-party software used with tAA systems. For example, I determined the
best settings, with tAA's ******@*****.****** product, which runs on NT
and 2000 servers.
Hardware Testing, Repair, and Maintenance
At tAA, I automated the burn-in tests for tAA's PC voice-mail systems and
did the troubleshooting on returned systems. In house at both tAA and B of
A and for customers at Software Station, I repaired, maintained, and
upgraded PCs. At Bank of America, I also repaired and maintained ATM
components, banking terminals, and fax machines.
