- I'm a dedicated member of an organisation: I'm valuable as both a member

of a team and when left to my own devices.

- As a very outgoing person, I embrace initiative and ensure that my

results are something I can be proud of! I'm also a glass-half-full person,

and enjoy all experiences, even the biggest challenges, seeing them as

Hobbies and Other Interests

Being a very creative and social person, I like to occupy my time with many

different hobbies and interests. On the creative side, I enjoy painting

(anything really, furniture, canvasses or murals), drawing and any other

kind of creative projects.

Entertainment plays an important part in my life in the form of live music

gigs and theatre performances, festivals, parties, events, braais, movies,

and art shows. I'n a fan of any local bands, and follow the local music

scene quite closely. I'm the first in line when an international act

decides to tour South Africa, and also the one wearing the band T-shirt,

and singing my heart out.

I'm a social creature, and I enjoy spending my time at events, parties and

any social gathering. I'm also fond of chilling at home, and relaxing. I'm

highly adaptable to any situation I find myself in, and enjoying

discovering new places and events.

Responsibilities: The Marketing Department at TuksFM is directly

responsible for the visibility of the brand, TuksFM. The co-ordination and

implementation of all projects, the production of promotional material and

liaising with all the relevant internal and external parties, with regard

to the necessary publicity and media coverage.

My duties included:

- Meeting with current and potential clients for funding, sponsorship,

media coverage and publicity and other opportunities

- The marketing of current events: this includes branding and the use of

branding in every available manner, and maximising brand visibility

- The organisation of all TuksFM events, such as the TuksFM New Year's

Party, Charity Drives and the TuksFM Birthday party

- The planning of marketing strategies, advertising campaigns, slogans,

event tag lines and imagery

- Ensuring the correct management and control of all events

- And finally, the joint design of branding (i.e. flyers, t-shirts,banners,

posters, etc.)

TuksFM Contributions: Marketing 2009

- I organised TuksFM selections for new members January/February 2009, as

well as the welcoming Camp 2009. The August selections for new members as

well as the weekend welcoming conference is also my work. I had a hand in

the concept design of the selection posters.

- I was involved in the TuksFM High Rollers New Year's Party 2008/2009,

hosted by TuksFM in Hatfield Square. My duties included the concept design

of the poster, the name and the slogan "Go Big or Go Home". My duties on

the night included the co-ordination of the actual event, setting up the

branding and seeing to the sponsors involved with the event.

- I organised a Guitar Hero Promotion on the campus of the University of

Pretoria in May. I liaised with sponsors and management, set-up the

promotion, as well as the branding for the actual event.

- Official organiser of the Tuks FM end of year function

TuksFM Contributions: Marketing 2008

- I was involved in the TuksFM School of Rock competition 2008 (final held

at Menlyn Shopping Centre). I was there for team support, as well as to set

up and handle branding, contestants and the crowd.

- I organised and co-ordinated the TuksFM On the Rocks Music Session 2008,

featuring Karen Zoid and Evolver at the Performer Theatre, Menlo Park.

Again, I was responsible for the setting up of branding.

- I co-ordinated and supervised the TuksFM Winter Warm Up Charity Drive: a

week-long event, featuring a breakfast run to collect blankets and clothes

from the public, followed by a two-day concert held at the Kolonnade

Shopping Centre, at which Klopjag and the Paradigm performed.

- I aided the organisation of the highly successful Maloney's Rock Fest,

held at Pretoria Rugby Club, featuring aKing, Fokofpolisiekar, Ef-EL, Prime

Circle and Van Coke Kartel, among others. I was responsible for the

branding and lay out of the area.

- I organised and branded TuksFM Mistle Tunes 2008: A Christmas inspired

charity drive, including a charity concert (the bands performed for free)

featuring Ef-EL and Cutting Jade. This drive took place at Atterbury Value

Mart.
