Maintain systems level programs, design and conduct internal education,
gather and manage system level utilities and tools for distribution to
client sites, design general interface handler between Tandem and other
computer systems, maintain inter-process message switching program, manage
system resource allocation.
Senior Analyst/Programmer
Projects included: porting registration system from General Automation to
Tandem; redesign and recoding of registration system from FORTRAN into TAL;
design and programming of application servers to service requests from
proprietary micro-computers interfaced to Tandem; Command Interpreter
replacement for users with restricted access; design of proprietary data-
base access language and design and coding of compiler and interpreter for
the language; file maintenance program which used Tandem dictionary files
to maintain any file on system.
HBO & Company 1978-1979
Systems Engineer
First employee in company history to receive performance bonus during first
year of employment. Duties included maintenance of existing clients,
installation support for new clients, design and programming for new
clients, and various special assignments.
Projects included: Independently designed and installed pharmacy system for
St. Joseph's Hospital, South Bend, Indiana; designed and installed medical
records and registration system for Methodist Hospital,
Minneapolis, Minnesota; on-line interface to Blue Cross financial system.
