U.S Interstate 495 Hot Lanes Project

Scope of Project: Survey to accommodate the

addition of four HOV lanes (two each direction).

The 1.6 billion dollar project spans the

Northern Virginia corridor of the the state of

Virginia.

Duties include: Laying out bridges, roads, sound

walls, drainage, waterlines overhead signs, etc.

Daniel Island, South Carolina

Arthur Ravenel Bridge Construction

Scope of project: Bridge construction of the 640

million dollar Arthur Ravenel Bridge in

Charleston, SC. It is the tallest cable bridge

in the northern hemisphere.

Duties included: Staking out pilings, setting

pier caps, Stake out on and off ramps, setting

barges out on river to perform concrete

pourings, stake anchor bolts, and performed

quality control, etc.

CSX Columbia Rail Extension Project

Scope of project: Railroad Extension in

Columbia, South Carolina

Duties included: staking centerline of rail in

the newly proposed easement, setting concrete

columns as the rail crossed several creeks and

rivers, etc.

Conway/Myrtle Beach Highway Construction

Scope of project: Surveying for new 32 mile

by-pass highway construction from Conway, SC to

Myrtle Beach, SC

Duties included: Daily setup and orientation of

various surveying equipment, surveying and slope

staking on and off ramps, staking and setting

concrete columns, staking centerline and

calculating offsets.
