Prosar Safety Database - Siebel Application Upgrade

PROSAR Corp.

Prosar safety database is the Siebel Application used by Prosar

Corporation. This project's goal was to upgrade Siebel from version 6.0 to

7.7.2 and to implement major software enhancements. My responsibilities

included:

. Preparation of to-be business process documents, functional

specifications by liaising with various project stake holders.

. Creation of detailed project plan, data migration plan and cutover

schedule.

. Implementation of software changes for Siebel system enhancements and

for addressing functional gaps.

. Documentation of upgrade steps, SOPs and user manuals.

. Installation, upgrade and configuration of Siebel software in DEV,

TEST and PROD environments (each involving set up, configuration of

Gateway, Enterprise and Web Servers).

. Performed Repository Merge, standard and custom database upgrades and

post upgrade tasks.

. Migration of custom business objects, fields, applets and scripts.

. Performed multiple mock runs, actual production upgrade and go-live

support.

Prosar Safety Database - Siebel Enhancements and Support

PROSAR Corp.,

Prosar safety database (Siebel application) recorded product safety

information which included Product Complaints, Adverse Events, Drug

Exposure and Medical Information calls by the call center agents. Multiple

enhancements were done to the Siebel application to leverage all Siebel 7.7

capabilities including a major revamp of screens, views, applets and

visibility control techniques.

. Configured Screens, Views, Applets, Pick Lists, Business Objects,

Business. Components, Links, Joins and performed schema changes using

Siebel Tools.

. Used Siebel VB script to automate business processes.

. Configured Windows Integrated security using Siebel ADSI adapter.

Regular support activities included:

. Siebel trouble ticket monitoring and issue resolution, adhering to IT

department SLAs.

. Working with SMEs, Business Groups, internal IT teams to formulate new

IT requirements for the CRM solution

. Participation in JAD discussions, architecture meetings, requirements

AERS (Adverse Event Reporting System) Implementation

Oracle AERS system (part of Oracle Life Sciences suite) was implemented for

processing Adverse Event cases and producing various reports for product

vendors, FDA etc.

. Lead the Implementation project and performed project co-ordination

activities which involved interfacing with product and software

vendors.

. Developed functional specifications, program specifications and test

plans.

. Installation, configuration and set up of AERS software.

. Customization of the AERS product, implementing UI changes, database

schema changes.

. Used SQL extensively for writing custom queries, stored procedures and

custom reports
