AFTB/AFAP Program Specialist, 63rd Regional Support Command, Moffett Field, CA

(March 22, 2009- December 11, 2009 and August 02- October 20, 2010): Offered and

educated information on four programs; Army Family Team Building (AFTB), Army Family

Action Plan (AFAP), Army Spouse Employment Partnership (ASEP) and the Financial

Readiness Program (FRP). Ensured issues were submitted, researched, edited for punctuation

and administrative errors and forwarded to the annual AR AFAP Conference in a timely

FPA Operations Analyst (Supervisor), Seagoville, TX (December 12, 2009- August 01,

2010): Managed Family Program Assistants (FPA) in every aspect of their position. Provided

training to FPAs on Web-Portal entries to include practical exercises. Personally handled

requests for information based on personal knowledge of program activities. Established

standards for FPA reporting. Maintained suspense logs of recurring reports and ensured that

FPAs submit them on time. Consolidated reports and prepared summarizing or explanatory

correspondence. Ensured that reports were prepared in proper format and contained required

information. Ensured that each FPA accomplished at a minimum one successful contact per

month for each assigned Family and documented successful and unsuccessful contacts.

Verified percentages for each FPA of contacts made every week as a Quality Control measure.

Family Program Assistant, 807th Medical Deployment Support Command, Seagoville, TX

(August 04, 2008-March 21, 2009): Maintained communication via monthly contacts with

over 200 designated Family members or significant others of assigned deployed Soldiers.

Updated and maintained Family members contact information into a database by inputting the

date of contact, assistance provided to them, referrals and follow-up actions. Operated a

personal computer and used various word processing functions such as MS Office software to

develop reports, spreadsheets, presentations, newsletters and other miscellaneous documents.

Served as an advocate of the Army Reserve Family Programs; promoting the Families

awareness of benefits and entitlements. Solicited attendees for various training and conference

participation as needed. Planned, attended and provided briefings as deemed appropriate by the

Family Programs Director (FPD). In accordance with the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration

Program, performed mobilization, reunion, and Family Programs Assistance duties and

briefings on weekdays and weekends as needed.

Human Resources NCO, 345th Psychological Operations Company, Dallas, TX (January

01, 2006- August 23, 2007): Tasked with the Unit's Administrator's (UA) duties as an

additional duty. Performed administrative functions including advising the Command and staff

of incoming issues. Operated a personal computer and utilized all capabilities of the computer

to include word processing and electronic mail. Prepared necessary special and recurring

reports. Performed administrative duties to include answering telephones, filing documents,

and preparing correspondence. Received and reviewed mail for both signature and distribution.

Reviewed administrative and military personnel related correspondence submitted by the unit

for transmission to higher headquarters for completeness, appropriate enclosures were attached

and that material was in proper format. Composed and edited correspondence pertinent to

Evaluation Reports. Prepared and submitted company awards, NCO promotion packets and

lower enlisted promotion orders for the Commander's signature. Completed and forwarded

requests for transfers and discharges. Requested and monitored medical exams and

appointments. In-processed Soldiers. Prepared and maintained 201 and medical records.

Prepared and submitted travel vouchers. Processed a variety of pay actions utilizing military

pay systems. Corrected Retirement points. Appointed as the acting Building Facility Manager;

maintaining all office and building equipment, coordinating maintenance and participating in

building inspections.

Administrative NCO, 1011th Quartermaster Company, Independence, KS (November 12,

1999- December 31, 2005): Operated a personal computer and utilized all capabilities of the

computer to include word processing and electronic mail. In and out-processed Soldiers in and

out of the unit. Prepared and maintained 201 and medical records. Requested medical and

dental appointments. Processed tuition assistance requests and student loan repayments.

Participated as a member of a deployment team, traveling to mobilizing units to prepare

Soldiers and their records for mobilization. Deployed in 2003 as an Administrative NCO.

This was a Train the Trainer course, enabling the attendees the standardized instruction and

ability to train Instructor Training Courses, Briefing Training Courses and the Facilitator

Training Courses.

Certification - 2d Psychological Op Grp Family Programs Training (11/19/2006)

The Group Family Programs Training provided the Family Readiness Groups with the updated

regulation. They also had Soldiers there to explain real-life problems and provide solutions to

those future problems.

Certification - USACAPOC Family Programs Training (08/20/2006)

The Family Programs Training trained the Family Readiness Liaisons and Leaders. It provided

information and guidance for Family Readiness Groups; what they were and were not allowed

to do.

Certification - Finance Training Workshop (01/28/2005)

The Finance Training Workshop taught Unit Administrators or potential Pay Clerks how to

successfully pay Soldiers without difficulty.

Certification - Unit Prevention Leader Course (11/19/2004)

Conduct random and annual drug testing within our units and be available to do testing at other

units when requested.
