numerous business plans and conducted business reviews with GPB’s president, as a senior member of the Operations Team.
Led on-going support activities for global business functions. Supervised teams ranging in size from 10 to 30 professionals.
• GPB’s lead in collaboration with other Pharmacia business entities in relation to business development, in-licensing product
opportunities, and internal product development programs. Developed a system to implement and manage market country
participation in product development programs. Liaised with cross-functional Licensing Lead Generation Teams. Researched,
analyzed and assessed business opportunities for partnering in other firms’ product development programs.
• Instrumental in effectuating the in-licensing of key products for arthritis, COPD and prostate cancer. Key advisor in the acquisition
of a biotech company with an anti-angiogenesis product.
• GPB’s liaison in major cross-functional initiatives. Lead member of Global Information Network team that generated millions in
cost savings while delivering research services in a more comprehensive, user-friendly manner on a global scale. Managed all
business divestment activities at the market country level, and consulted in corporate partnering arrangements.
• Provided proactive support and guidance to all core market countries (Western Europe and Japan). Reviewed, analyzed and
developed recommendations on new business activity. Helped launched two key products in Japan for the treatment of OAB and
resistant strains of bacteria. Reviewed, evaluated and assisted in the presentation of significant issues (i.e., pricing impact,
reimbursement policy changes) to regulatory bodies.

• Created and issued two key monthly management reports. The Significant Events Report provided complete but brief, up-to-the-
minute views on the global industry including corporate financial, political, regulatory, economic and general interest issues. The
Core Countries Report (Western Europe and Japan) provided views on performance inclusive of YTD sales figures, sales notes,
market shares and new product launches.
• Led team to in-license Trelstar (prostate cancer) and developed a successful marketing strategy.

marketing, administration, stockholder relations, and finance. Owned 60% of the firm.
• Consulted on new business development, conducted broad-based and specific industry studies, strategic planning (i.e. brand
defense strategies), technology assessment, competitive market analysis, due diligence studies for mergers and acquisitions,
business valuations, various opportunities analysis, and product analysis.
• Created a successful strategic plan for the geriatrics division of a major pharmaceutical company. Plan forecast net profits of $400
million over a 4-year period.
• Developed a strategic plan (net profit of $250 million over seven years) for a new corporate focus in prescription pediatric
medicines, and analysis of the O-T-C market strategy for pediatric drugs.
• Provided venture capital opportunities to young and emerging biotechnology and pharmaceutical firms on behalf of major
pharmaceutical clients. Created plan for the $100 million fund.

• Raised additional capital with investors, automated plant operations, negotiated significantly lower prices for raw materials,
developed shipping efficiencies, and improved relations with the union.
