to Fortus, info retrieval for rushes for on site call center & legal department as well as state wide
reinstatement centers, lawyers, judges, drivers, via email, phone and walk up requests, as well as

August 21, 1996-July 29, 2005: Indiana War Memorial~Secretary 4~along with the usual office
duties of typing letters, filing,copying, greeting the public, sorting & distributing mail, answering
the multiline phone system I was responsible for booking tours at both the Civil War Museum and
the War Memorial Museum for schools, organizations & business, both public & private, active
military, veterans, as well as local, state, city and federal agencies. Major events such as the
Strawberry Festival, Spanish Fest, all parades, runs, walks and races, just to name a few. I also
assisted admin with the setup, reservations, etc for quarterly commissioners meetings, military &
monthly meetings, One Stop Shop & Events Advisory Board meetings, prayer meetings and
services, caters, weddings, receptions of all kinds, deliveries etc. I gave out accurate information
on all events, meetings and 6 properties, to include the Soldiers and Sailors Monument,
University Park, the War Memorial, Veterans Memorial Park, the American Legion Mall and the
U.S.S. Indianapolis on the old north end of the canal. Setting up the system & processing every
battle flag picture order and was the point of contact person when communication problems &
needs would occur.
December 18, 1995-August 20, 1996: Dept of Natural Resources, Indiana State Museum
Volunteer Coordinator~Find Recruit and place new volunteers, act as a liaison between
volunteers and administration, attend volunteer board meetings, work at various annual events, to
include the Toy Soldiers Playground at Christmas time, help operate the train for rides for
children, sell tickets, act as the conductor as well as a 'swing' person. Attend monthly volunteer
meeting, take volunteers on trips and outings to other historic sites throughout the state to help
with local events, attend division retreats,operate copier, type various correspondence and
quarterly newsletters, operate postage machine and other office equipment.
February 1995-December 1995: Dept. of Natural Resources, Secretary 4 MIS
Division~Computer entry for weekly reports, generate proof read, edit reports, correspondence,
create documents on Word perfect, filing, copying machine operation, take and deliver messages,
keep track of co-workers whereabouts, meet and greet guest represent the MIS division at
various functions and meetings, sort and deliver mail, conduct banking transactions, pick up
communication equipment and order supplies.
October 1994-February 1995: Indiana Civil Rights Commission, Receptionist~Answer Multiline
phone, take and deliver messages, meet and greet public, typing, filing and data entry.
September 1992-August 1994: Westminster Presbyterian Church, Children's
Supervisor~Shopping for preparing snacks for 30-40 children ages 4-14yrs, cleaning area,
tutoring, problem solving, arts and crafts, assisting with plans for outings and activities, field trips
and special events. Operating copying making and taking messages.
