Aircraft Maintenance Unit Superintendent, Tyndall Air Force Base, Panama

City, FL (2008-2010)

Lead a multi-disciplined staff of 310 F-22 personnel from eight different

AF specialties and 10 work centers. Oversee the day to day operations of

three maintenance centers, the largest F-22 unit in Air Force. Accountable

for combat readiness of 29 F-22 aircraft valued at $4.5Billion and state-of-

the-art/emerging technology upgrades. Direct quality maintenance

discipline to achieve annual flying program goals of 3.300 sorties and

3,500 annual flying hours.

Key Contributions & Achievements

> Set the new benchmark for success; surpassed the 9/9 maintenance

standard, achieving the highest mission capability rate in the Air

Force of 72%.

> Delivered the highest utilization of equipment standard despite having

the oldest F-22s in Air Force inventory.

> Supervised the deployment of 150 personnel and 12 F-22s to Mountain

Home AFB, Idaho for Operation PEACEFUL SUMMIT. Directed the unit to

flying 273 sorties while maintaining a phenomenal 80% mission capable

streamlining processes; consolidated 60 key links onto one screen.

(2007-2008)

the supervision of aircraft maintenance operations of 468 personnel in 20+

Air Force specialties. Managed a budget of $438,000, providing repair

capabilities and maintaining 50 F-16 C/D aircraft valued at $1.34 Billion.

> Ensures services accomplished by Greek contractor were in accordance

with the Statement of Work (SOW), DOD and Federal Acquisition

Regulations (FARs). Reviewed the first four F-16 upgrades. Verified

all contractual requirements and ensured quality of work performed was

adequate.

> Involved in multiple special operations including: Noble Endeavor,

Operation Iraqi Freedom, Peaceful Summit, Joint Forces and North

Watch.

> Maximized productivity, delivered 127% of contracted hours, amassed

8,293 sorties/16,366.4 hours (FY07 plan: 12,821 hours); managed fleet

of aircraft in an efficient manner and achieved one of the highest

levels of readiness resulting in the award of additional hours.

> Sustained a 93% flying schedule effectiveness rate, the #1 flying

scheduling effective rate of F16 block 40 in the combat Air Forces two

Quality Assurance Superintendent, Aviano Air Base, Italy (2005-

2007)

Led a team of 31 personnel encompassing 14 career fields; charge with

supervision of the Maintenance Standardization and Evaluation Program.

Responsible for evaluation of inspection frequencies and criteria, directed

over 9,200 inspections annually on more than 1,300 maintenance personnel,

related support equipment and munitions in 65 sections. Placed in charge

of phase dock, to ensure the complete and safe inspections on 48 F-16C/D

aircraft and associated equipment valued at over $1.28 billion. Evaluate

332 Expeditionary Maintenance Group Quality Assurance Superintendent, Balad

Air Base Iraq, supporting 7,200 sorties/35,300 hours; wing flew equivalent

of 1 years in 4 months in support of Global War on Terrorism.

Key Contributions & Achievements

> Ensured a comprehensive and robust maintenance program - meticulously

verified the maintenance and authorized aircraft for combat.

Transferred inspectors from different units and cross trained and

qualified inspectors on a variety of weapons platforms for a multi-

disciplined team with a dynamic technical mission.

> Maintained and recorded all written material dealing with the

maintenance flight-line/ back-shop contract in accordance with the

DOD. Developed and set required inspection schedules for assigned

area of responsibility Iraq and ensured that all inspections were

performed on time and in compliance with DOD. Briefed senior
