BI Strategy Program Manager
BI Tool Strategy for GIS Foundation Program
• As a 6 Sigma Black belt lead the BI Tool Strategy project. The goal of the project was to recommend the BI Tool strategy to
support the initial BI delivery for the EIM Build the Foundation program in 2010. The SAP purchase of BObj (Business
Objects) makes it a tool that will be the next generation of SAP BI and therefore this project evaluated BObj’s use in the EIM
architecture and identify any significant risks posed by BObj in that architecture; estimated the total cost of ownership for
BObj and Cognos; and defined the MGPP for rolling out the recommended tool for Caterpillar Foundation and MACH 1
program.
BI Supply Chain Program Manager
Inventory Analytics – Supply Chain Program
• As a Program Manager lead the multi-generation Inventory Analytics reporting application development. The program
consisted of multiple sub-projects that included a project to acquire TeraData Infrastructure, a project to create
standard interface for all distribution facilities, a project to source data to the standard interface through IT
representatives from each facility, a project to plan and implement change management, a project to load and
transform data from standards interface to Data warehouse and a project to develop front end reports and dashboards
for the users.
• The program was critical to the enterprise for having an enterprise wide view of Inventory. The fact that multiple
vendors and multiple facilities were involved as key players in the program made it very challenging.
