Technical Skills:
. Design of 3D models using Pro-E (basic CAD design tool).
. Determination of design approaches and parameters.
. Design of fixtures for testing.
. Design review, database management, performance of basic engineering
calculations, drawing preparations.
. Electrical design, code compliance safety, value engineering, life
cycle cost.
. Creating test plans which include functional plan. Add detailed test
requirements and procedures to be followed based on inputs from
Development Manager.
. Product development / Design, Test, QA and Research.
. Working in cross functional teams (CFT).
. Preparing Bill Of Material, Change requests in SAP, Product Data
Management (PDMLink)
. Read and understand construction drawings
. Electrical system load calculations, short circuit calculations,
single line diagram generation and load distribution design for low,
medium and high voltage systems.
. Implement DFSS (Design For Six Sigma) tool, lean manufacturing.
Soft wares: Power world simulator, MATLAB, SAP, PSpice,LTSpice, PSSE Pro-E,
Pro-Mechanica MS office
Academic Projects:
. Power Flow Analysis: Power World Simulator, performed power flow
solution to verify given base case system and considering a single
transmission line or transformer outage. Necessary compensation and
violations were noted and cleared.
. Power system design and planning: Design and develop a single line
diagram of given system in power world simulator. Using voltage control
methods control the voltage magnitude of a particular power system
element.
. Hair pin insulation detection: Using PLC IP 3416, to develop a ladder
diagram that will give an indication of hair pin. Concept was to glow
LED as an indication of good insulated hair pin or bad insulated hair
pin.
Paper presentations:
. A national level paper presentation on "Ultrasonic Motor".
. A college level paper presentation on "MEMS".
Course work:
1. Power System modeling and analysis.
2. Programmable logic controllers and SCADA.
3. Power system Planning, operation and control in deregulated
environment.
4. Power Quality.
