ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE IIT, Chicago
Advanced Computer Networks
The project is to show the analytical model and simulation results of the
MAC overhead that has significant impact on the choice of optimal carrier
sense range.
Environment: Microsoft Vista, NS2 simulation software, Cygwin.
Computer Networks
The project was to design the network for a small sized company on four
floors of a building having four servers and three LANs. The company should
also have both wired and wireless connections within the company as well as
external internet and telephone connections.
Environment: Microsoft Visio 2007, Unix, Cisco Software.
PAPER PRESENTATION
. Stable and Flexible iBGP
. Underwater Wireless Communications, Chicago
. MAC Protocols for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks, Chicago
PROJECTS
1. Cracking the WEP key
. WEP key cracking using Air crack tool in Backtrack 3, which is a Linux
distribution.
. To show security flaws and vulnerabilities associated with the WEP
key.
2. Technical Report on Anonymous routing on mobile ad-hoc networks
. In depth analysis of anonymous routing on both mobile ad-hoc networks
and wireless ad-hoc networks.
. Analyzed five different approaches to provide anonymous routing in
mobile and wireless ad-hoc networks and assorted out the merits and de-
merits of every approach.
3. Network Design for a small Company
. In this Project, quotation is given for starting the company based on
the company requirements like cost, space etc. The design is in such a
way that the network does not require modification in case of future
expansion of the company.
