ASCAP (1914) is a leading U.S. performing rights organization created and

controlled by composers, songwriters and music publishers.

Performers Rights Enterprise Program (PREP): PREP enables ASCAP to gather

the information electronically from different legacy systems for different

members like performers, members, writers, publisher, composers etc. also

keeps tracks of all their performances held all over the globe, under the

copyright laws and assigns royalties depending upon their performances. The

different modules involved in this project are:

. Membership: To keep track of all the members and their necessary

details.

. Usage: To gather all their performance information.

. Distribution: Calculating the base credits and assigning dollar values

to the members

. Royalty: Assigning royalties to the members.

. Copyright: Deals with agreement between members and different parties.

I am involved in the Membership, Usage and Royalty modules.

Responsibilities:

. Analyzing the requirements, functional specifications and identifying

the source data to be moved to the target.

. Used the DataStage Designer to develop processes for extracting,

cleansing, transforming, integrating and loading data into target

database.

. Developed server jobs, parallel jobs by using DataStage Enterprise

Edition with different stages (using Aggregator, Join, Lookup, Sort,

Merge, and Data Set etc.,) based on requirement.

. Experienced in Source to Target mapping between legacy systems and

target databases.

. Used Parallel Extender for splitting the data into subsets and flowing

of data concurrently across all available processors to achieve job
