. Joined a troubled project and reestablished project management

standards. Strengthened the relationship with the vendor and internal

business clients, and led the phased implementation of Markdown

Optimization that was projected to have a $58M ROI over seven years.

Dynegy Inc., Houston, Texas 2000 - 2002

Manager, Global Technology

Supervised the Power Logistics application development team and the

Enterprise Application Integration Development Group that was responsible

for system integration and messaging issues across a variety of energy

trading and financial applications on multiple platforms.

. Directed a Power Scheduling and Back Office Accounting project that

was completed on time and 10% under budget allowing funds to be shared

with other projects that were over budget. The overall integration

project was projected to save the company over $5M the first year.

. Led the development of a Power Transmission Management application

that polled transmission reservation and available transmission

capacity data from over 60 websites multiple times per hour on a 24x7

basis. Easy access to this data gave the transmission traders a

competitive advantage and resulted in saving a full-time position and

over $1M in transmission purchases during the first year.

Manager, Global Technology, Dynegy Inc. - continued

. Established a new training class for IT Managers. Proposed a new

course to the training department on Object Oriented Programming for

Managers. The course was developed and offered, and increased

managerial effectiveness, especially in the area of estimating for

project planning. This was very helpful for managers directing

development in object oriented languages when the manager had no hands-

on programming experience in object oriented languages.

Enron North America Corporation, Houston, 1998 - 2000

Senior Specialist

Lead role in the Year 2000 Project Office, assisting with all areas of the

company's Year 2000 effort.

. Developed standards for evaluating Year 2000 compliance in areas

including technical infrastructure; purchased and in-house developed

software; evaluating risk for ENA assets and companies in which ENA

held equity positions; and evaluating potential third-party supply and

market exposure. These standards, which became a template for several

other Enron subsidiaries, saved over $700,000 in the corporate Year

2000 budget.

. Saved the company more than $800,000 in hardware costs by negotiating

with our main hardware vendor to supply lab hardware on a loan basis

for establishing an isolated Year 2000 test environment.

IBM Corporation, Houston, Texas 1996 - 1998

Project Manager

Functioned as a technical lead and project manager for several IBM Global

Services clients.

. Provided integration testing for a point of sale retail system

developed for one of the world's largest retailers. The success of

this team allowed the initial phase of a $100M project to be

implemented on time and eventually led to over $20M in additional

projects with this client.

. Led a team of professionals performing a Year 2000 assessment in a

mixed mainframe and client/server environment for a large power

utility company. Led the evaluation of the client/server environment,

including PowerBuilder, Kornshell scripts, C code, and Oracle stored

procedures and triggers using IBM's Inventory Assistant tool. The

client valued the client/server remediation effort with saving as much

as $1M in potential litigation costs.

Coastal Corporation, Houston, Texas 1995 - 1996

Senior Systems Analyst/Team Leader

Facilitated team success in business areas including the development and

maintenance of a client/server economics application, management of

production application support for ADABAS/NATURAL VAX applications, and

establishing and implementing a UNIX-based reporting environment.

. Directed the analysis, coding, testing, and implementation of a deal

economics system for the gas marketing organization. In addition to

being the major pilot project for the evolving client server standards

at the corporation, this project saved the marketing organization over

$500,000 in the first six months of implementation.

Meridian Oil, Inc., Houston, Texas 1994 - 1995

Senior Staff Analyst/Project Leader

Functioned as project leader for the selection and implementation of a

client/server gas marketing and accounting software application package and

provided support to the exploration and production area.

. Guided the evaluation and selection of a natural gas marketing and

back office accounting package. The resulting product was implemented

at a savings of over $350,000 from the cost estimates for custom

development.

. Developed an acquisition well review application that improved

business analysts' productivity by over 400 percent by vastly

increasing the number of wells that could be reviewed per hour.

Coastal Corporation, Houston, Texas 1991-1994

Senior Systems Analyst

Supported applications for Coastal Gas Marketing Corporation (CGM).

Functioned as project leader for Gas Operations, Volume Accounting,

Authorizations/Invoice Pricing, and Gas Trading systems.

. Designed and managed the implementation of an automated natural gas

volume accounting monthly close process that improved cash flow by

allowing the books to be closed earlier for the prior month's sales and

invoices to be mailed 3 days earlier each month.

. Led the Team that achieved compliance with FERC Order No. 636 prior to

the deadline allowing the company to avoid substantial financial

penalties. Projects included system-wide modifications necessitated by

FERC Order No. 636 in the areas of nomination prioritization,

upstream/downstream transport data for nominations, capacity brokering,

and cash-in/cash-out imbalance processing.
