I have over ** years experience in the IT industry. Over 15 years were in

the utility industry. I was employed by SPL WorldGroup (the original

designers of CC&B) for many years.

During my career in the utility industry, I implemented and supported

multiple clients; Electric & Gas, Water & Waste Water.

Within the CC&B application, I worked in multiple capacities including

Developer, Designer, Functional Architect, Technical Architect, Business

Analyst and Project Lead.

I am completely comfortable performing any of these roles and thrive on

challenges. I have an excellent command of the English language and

communicate at all levels. I have, and am comfortable leading a team of

professionals. I learn new applications and processes very quickly and am

productive in a short time-span.

I dedicate myself to the project making the client's goals, my own. I see

it as a personal challenge to meet mine and the client's deadlines.

I work extremely well with others and on my own. I make a point of ensuring

multiple file usage was transparent to the user/s. Other teams integrated

the same technique within their system structure. Costs were significantly

reduced due to archive data being stored on lower priced mediums, but still

being easily available.

Designed / developed systems and functions for their Product Delivery

System. Maintained and enhanced existing Ordering, Manufacturing and

Delivery systems utilizing Natural/Adabas on a mainframe and on distributed

OS2 platforms. Played a major role in the conversion process from OS2 to NT

for

Windows of their distributed customer systems

Started the Y2K attack plan for the entire Inland Container System;

Designed procedures and priorities for the Y2K process; did feasibility

studies for software to be used for the Y2K reporting process. Created

modules that were used to ensure the system dates would always be analyzed

correctly.

The routines I created are based on a sliding window method and will

analyze dates up to the year 9999.

Maintained Eskom's Prepaid Power Supply system that is used by +/- 1

Designed / developed new features and functions for interfaces to various

Developed a system to automate the computer operations department; Did

feasibility study of three automation software packages (JOBTRAK, CA7/11

and Control/M/R/O); Company purchased Control-M on my recommendation with a

70% cost saving. Used Control-M to move the operations department to a full

I acquired Information Technology technical and business knowledge through

many years of studies and experience. I started in Computer Operations in

December 1980 and worked my way up the ranks.

I have great leadership qualities as well as being very technical. In a

supervisory capacity, I prefer to be hands-on, leading by example.

I work extremely well in a team environment and on my own. I am a natural

leader, always called upon to provide assistance. I make it my duty to

understand the environment I work in to ensure I produce the highest

quality results.

I have the ability to learn new environments and programming languages very

fast. This is one of my greatest abilities and has astonished companies

over the years. I learnt many programming languages just from the

documentation.
