PROJECTS

• NS2 Project: The purpose of this simulation was to study the saturation throughput in an IEEE 802.11 network using

DCF.(December 2010).

• BER versus SNR Performance Analysis: Making use of source code for coding/decoding a channel code, plot the

performance of a single link communication system with and without coding in terms of the BER versus SNR for BPSK

modulation for both AWGN and Rayleigh channels.

• UNIX Socket Programming: Simulated a self-organizing network of stand-alone mobile nodes in a race to find

a target in a Client/Server environment using UNIX Sockets in C/C++. Both Streamy and Datagram Sockets were used.

(November 2009)

• Network Simulations using OPNET: Local Area Networks such as Ethernet (Both Shared and Switched) and Routing

Algorithms including RIP and OSPF were simulated and their performances wer e evaluated.(October 2009)

• Network Protocol Analysis using Wireshark "ETHEREAL": Protocols analyzed included DHCP, SSL and other

TCP/IP Protocols. (Sep 2009)

• Simulation of Queuing Disciplines using OPNET: Order of Packet Transmission and Dropping. (March 2010)

• Semantic Web Project: Vertical Text-based Search Engine framework from automatically collected Ontology.(December

2010)

• EER Diagram Mapping into the Oracle and implementing the resulting database schema In Oracle:

Constructed SQL queries for the Database created using the EER model.(Jan 2010)

• Introduction to spatial data types using Oracle10g, Oracle Spatial features, and Java (JDBC): Insight into

Geospatial point mapping and how the markers are inserted.(Feb-March 2010)

• Introduction to XML Schema, XML Data, XSL and Xquery implemented over XML Data.(April 2010)

M/M/c/c and compared their performances using MATLAB. (Nov 2009)

• Web Technology\database: Designed an on-line banking management System using J2EE. Created a Database for the

system and developed web pages for the project.

TERM PAPER

• Term Paper on Scaling Problems with Internet Routing Protocols. (April 2010)
