Responsibilities:

. Evaluated the hardware requirements and installed Oracle (9.2.0.8,10g &

11g) on Unix servers(AIX & Solaris) and Windows Server as well and

migrated the database schemas as per the business requirements in

production and testing environments. Re-linked and applied the relevant

patches for the production databases on upgraded Operating Systems and

mapped the applications on the newly created databases.

. Upgraded the database from version 9.2.0.5 to 10.2.0.3.

. Installation of CPU patches periodically.

. Extensively worked on Performance Tuning in different methods like

partitioning & analysis, SQL Hints, tuning the initialization and

storage parameters, creating and maintaining various types of indexes,

reorganizing tables, implementation of statspack/AWR, dbms_stats, Row
