ACHIVEMENTS:
Developed a simple module which can count number of nucleotides,
frequencies of nucleotides and find out motif hits of multiple DNA, RNA
and Protein fasta sequences under Dr. Scott Kelley Dec 2010
Software & Tools: Python, Microsoft Excel
Developed a simple and more accurate method to predict the response to
hydroxyurea (HU), a medicine used for treatment of sickle cell anemia
under Dr. Farmaraz Valafar May 2010
Software & Tools: Matlab, Bio-informatics & Statistical tool box
. The tool contains two variable selection methods (SVM-RFE & PCA)
with classification method (K-nn classification).
. Other variable selection methods such as T-statistics, Fishers'
Criterion and Signal to Noise.
. Also applied other classification methods such as SVM
Classification and ANN Delta rule and Back propagation.
Developed a web-based database for a molecular biology laboratory under
Dr. John Mokili Dec 2010
Software and Tools: PHP, MySQL, Apache Web Server
Developed a novel wireless breathing system for monitoring patients in
intensive care unit under Ms. Hitiksha Shah May 2009
Software and Tools: Microcontroller (8052) program loader and its
software, radio frequency module, liquid crystal display (LCD)
. Made a chest belt which contain one micro switch to detect
patients' breath. The measured breath rate is transmitted from
radio frequency transmitter and catched by radio frequency receiver
and fed into microcontroller (8052) which counts and displays them
on LCD.
Ultrasound based Blind Men Stick under Ms. Hitiksha Shah Dec 2008
Software and Tools: Ultrasound transmitter and receiver, buzzer, blind
man stick and required circuitry.
. Generated ultrasound signals which detect the obstacles that come
across the person. These signals are filtered to avoid noise and
amplified to get enough current to turn on the buzzer.
