The HR division of Wal-Mart is one of the crucial departments because it

maintains the compensation, promotion data of nearly 2 million associates

The Retro application project deals with the systematic calculation and

audit of any retro payment associated with an employee, which can be due to

reasons like leave of absence, sign on bonus, etc.

The retro application is developed in JAVA/J2EE and uses DB2 for backend

operations.

The Hallmark .com website caters to the online shopping needs of its

millions of customers for greeting cards; online order placement of items

These changes / enhancements are seasonal that need to cash in on holiday

seasons like Christmas, Valentine's Day, etc and hence these changes are

strictly deadline driven.

This project enables registration for the gift cards provided with the

Photo cards Starter kits; also enables upload of contact details and

redemption of a gift card for any 'Print On Demand' product.

Digital Greeting Cards - Premium Version

Hallmark Cards has a digital space in which ECards is an application that

allows a user to select, personalize, upload photos and send an ECard to

the desired recipient. Hallmark.com users generate approximately 50 million

free e-cards annually. The aim of the project was to enhance the features

available to a certain ECards so that they can be priced. The priced ECards

are also called as the Premium ECards. The project involved integration of

the ECards application which was housed in the J2EE architecture (using

WebSphere Commerce Server) with other applications namely Flash 8 and

Yantra which handles the Order Management for Hallmark.

The technology used in this application is JAVA/J2EE with WCS and DB2 is

used for backend operations.

Description:

PC Scales Development and Support - (Simplifying of Counters)

PC Scales is a store based windows application of Tesco which caters to the

selection, packaging and delivery of Fast Moving Consumer Goods. (FMCG),

that takes more than 25 orders per minute and there is a dedicated

department to take care of the ever surging needs.

The scope of the project dealt with modifying the way the counter

differentiates the various product types and bring in homogeneity among

them. This thereby was to reduce the time, the staff spent at the counter.

It also involved providing production support to the application from the

client location.

Description:

New Technology Support

The project dealt with providing 24x7 support for .Net based applications

identified as New Technology applications by Tesco. These applications are

used on a day-to-day basis in operations of Tesco stores and are critical

to business. The project responsibilities include supporting the 2 main

applications of the project namely Mobile Stock Control (MSC) and Radio

Frequency (RF) reductions, working from the client location. The role also

includes responsibilities like working testing and implementing changes,

enhancements, as and when required.

Bank of America - Model Virtual Services Testing

The project deals with the IVR, CRM applications. The project scope

involves the design, development and testing of the functionalities and

interfaces of the IVR and CTI. It is a testing project involving System

Testing (remote testing) of Model Virtual Environment which incorporates

applications like Merlin, DB Desktop, Voice COM, etc. also the development

of the integrated version of the environment which binds Merlin, Frontier

applications was on going at that time. The functionality of Desktop

applications, Voice Response Unit and Call Routing are tested.
