Employment History:
ISP Elastomers, Port Neches, TX
Production Engineer (Co-op) June 2010-Present
Responsibilities:
While at ISP one of my major projects was to improve one of our slurry
additive processes by optimizing its makeup and delivery. By designing an
experiment in the lab that replicated the actual process I was able to
find the optimal temperature and concentration for the set point needed
in the design of a temperature control loop. Along with this I worked on
a project to decrease product yield loss by modifying a wash water tanks'
agitator location, piping configuration and effluent sample testing.
Another project involved creating a DOE to troubleshoot and ultimately
prevent the formation of unwanted coagulum in our blow down system and
recovery process. I also automated various spreadsheets including KPI's
and Daily Production Reports.
