Assist in conducting economic and policy analysis. This analysis entails

the collection, standardization and analysis of voluminous transactional

electronic data files, point in time database extracts, survey data, and

other forms of information from sources within the Army, the Department of

Defense, other governmental agencies, and academic institutions. Provision

of research services includes: pulling OEMA data from data base, analyzing

data, statistical programming support utilizing SAS and Stata, creating

graphs, developing slides, and providing policy recommendations. Due to the

nature of the data maintained by OEMA, possession of a SECRET Clearance is

required.

Key Achievements:

Co-Authored "Deferred Compensation as a Retention Tool," a paper presented

at the 2010 Western Economic Association International conference.

Designed and maintain Officer Continuation Rates reporting system for use

in analyzing Army Officer continuation behaviors across year groups, source

of commission, and various observable characteristics.

Designed and built a sorting algorithm to assign cadets to their basic

branches based on order of merit, cadet preferences, various buy-up

options, and Army regulations. Sorting time reduced from 2 weeks to less

than 10 minutes.

Provided analytical support for the "Army Green Pages Initiative," a

program designed to optimize the matching of positions within the Army with

its Officers.
