Position: Manager, Meetings & Special Events, INPO and WANO-Atlanta Center

Joined INPO in 1979 as Administrative Assistant, handling all Board of

Directors Meetings for a new organization and other duties as needed. Over

the years, have been instrumental in developing the high quality and

standards of meetings that INPO is known for.

As Meeting Planner and Manager of Meetings and Special Events for INPO, I

was responsible for the logistics for over 275 events per year. These

range from 10-25 person 2-3 day training classes to Board of Directors and

other VIP Meetings to several large off-site conferences per year.

includes hotel rate negotiations (10,000 room nights per year), catering

negotiations, budgeting, spouse programs, security, selections of

restaurants for evening events, airport transfers for all Board of

Directors Meetings, and other Executive Level Meetings of various industry

committees.

Work closely with the CEO and senior executives for special dinners, site

selection for Management Retreats, research and selection of gifts for

Board Members and others as needed. Provide seating charts for all VIP

dinners.

Responsible for all employee retirements (receptions, dinners, gifts), and

all employee events such as picnic (500-800 people) and Holiday Dinner

Dance (500-600 people).

Work closely with Communications Department on the coordination of graphic

pieces to support a meeting or event, audio visual and production team on

staging, lighting, and entertainment/speaker needs for conferences and

meetings.

As meeting planner for WANO-Atlanta Center (World Association of Nuclear

Operators) I assisted in the planning of Governing Board Meetings,

seminars, and VIP visits that were sponsored by the Atlanta Center. This

includes site selection for events. Was the lead in three Biennial General

Meetings that have been sponsored by the WANO-Atlanta Center in Atlanta in

1991, Victoria, B.C. in 1999, and Chicago in 2007. This included all site

selections, and hiring of all vendors to insure a smooth program for 600

guests from 32 countries. Have also assisted the other regional WANO

Centers with their respective meetings in Tokyo, Prague, Seoul, Berlin and

Budapest.

Professional Certification

CMP Certification (Certified Meeting Professional) Have held certification

since 1988 and certification has been renewed through 2013.

Additional Experience

Worked closely with Facilities Manager in the design of conference center

when building was constructed (13 stories) and any updates to equipment,

reworking of meeting facilities and offices, and overall management of

building as needed, from crisis management to holiday d cor.
