EH&S Specialist: Responsible for ISO 14001 environmental compliance and

regulations set forth by state and Federal agencies.

. Daily/monthly inspections: Responsible for required inspections

including: waste water discharge, Storm Water Pollution Protection

Plan (SWPPP) and Spill Control and Countermeasures (SPCC).

. Training: Provides all training for the facility including new hire

orientation, tool box, and required training such as Global Harmonized

System (GHS), Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV), Ergonomics, etc.

. Waste control: Inventory and coordinate hazardous, non-hazardous and

universal waste for storage and shipment. Maintained a waste inventory

document and scheduled all hazardous waste pickups with responsibility

for all manifests. Organized and maintained all records for potential

state inspections.

August 2009 - December 2012 RSCC Wire and Cable Inc; East

EH&S Manager: This position was vacant for approximately 8 months at which

time the president of the company asked if I would take over the position.

Responsible for the safety of approximately 340 personnel.

. Reduced OSHA recordable injuries to an all time low of 7 in 2010. For

the first time in over 18 years the company reduced the amount of

recordables to a single digit. The highest obtained within that 18

year period was 42 recorables in a single year.

. Updated both EH&S training goals and the environmental calendar

requirements.

. Responsible for RSCC safety and health programs. Reviewed, wrote, and

updated 34 EH&S policies also reviewed annually.

. Revamped the chemical storage room due to floor deterioration.

Installed a new overhead rail hoist system, put in new lighting and

refinished the floor to make chemicals spills impervious to leaks to

prevent potential ground contamination.

. Coordinates safety drill once a year as per Factory Mutual building

insurance requirement.

. Developed a 19 page Contractor Safety Handbook to be reviewed and

signed by contractors before any work can be performed in the

facility. It covers OSHA and EPA requirements including applicable

company policies such as emergency evacuation, point of contact in an

emergency, hazwaste generation and disposal, welding, electrical/arc

flash etc. We also maintained a log of companies with Certificate of

Liability Insurance.

. Installed Pure Water Technologies PW1R reverse osmosis water

dispensers throughout 3 buildings. Resulted in saving approximately

13,000 water bottles from begin put into the environment and

eliminated lost time spent to provide ice and water to factory

personnel during the hot summer months. Also eliminated any potential

bacterial build up from the older fountains including heavy metals

from old piping.

. Reviews/investigates all near misses, non-recordable and recordable

incidents. Findings are passed on to all cells and managers and

discussed at corporate meetings to ensure other sister companies don't

repeat the same incident.

. Conducted monthly safety meetings for business unit managers, factory

personnel, union representatives, steering committee members and

participated in corporate safety meetings as well.

. Installed 10 monitors throughout the facilities. Designed and

coordinated a project to install 55" plasma monitors throughout the

facility for displaying current events, safety and quality metrics.

. Installed Acetone wash and reprint line. Installed an explosion proof

self contained ventilated wash line to remove incorrect print legends

from cables. This design minimized employees' exposure to chemicals

and helped prevent the Acetone from evaporating providing a cost

savings to the company.

. Conducted inspections to identify work place hazards and maintain

corrective actions (person assigned and date to be completed) on each

item found out of compliance. Looked for reoccurring issues.

. Coordinated with an outside contractor to conduct a 10 hour general

industry training course for all our supervisors covering 3 shifts to

familiarize them with basic OSHA standards and increased safety

awareness.

. Conducted end of year EH&S presentation to staff with highlights,

category pie charts, and goals for the next year.

September 2008 - July 2009 RSCC Wire and Cable Inc; East

Granby, CT

Manufacturing Process / Facility Engineer: Responsible for moving equipment

in three separate main buildings to support the cell segmentation project.

. Responsible for the relocation of wire and cable equipment.

Relocated extrusion lines, braiders, tape heads, scales, payoffs,

take-ups etc. Chalked locations for installation of all racking

including labeling of the rack load limits. Coordinated the

installation of new heaters in the new add on buildings.

. Coordinated summer facility projects. Contracted yearly road repairs,

parking lot stall painting, fork truck and pedestrian safety lanes

painting, ventilation and extrusion line ducting cleanouts.

. Provided coverage for maintenance supervisor. Managed the maintenance

department in the absence of the maintenance supervisor. Maintained,

updated and scheduled preventative maintenance for all equipment.

March 2008 - August 2008 General Cable (Energy Division)

Du Quoin, IL

Manufacturing Process Engineer: Responsible for a majority of the plant

projects and for (4) CV line process run sheets and projects.

. Responsible for 17 capital projects with budgets of approximately

776K.

. Wrote Request for Quotes, Performance Specifications, and Capital

Expenditure Requests for projects in 2008.

. Completed the two 240 ton cooling towers installation for the wire

drawing lube oil cooling system. This project included a new heat

exchanger, replacement of the old lube oil, new lube oil filtration

system and Nema 4 controllers for outside exposure.

. Negotiated and leased 15 new Yale fork trucks to replace the

antiquated old fleet.

April 2007 - February 2008 General Cable (Energy Division)

Interim Maintenance Manager: Volunteered and accepted position as the

interim Facilities/Maintenance Manager when the previous Maintenance

Manager was relocated to another facility.

. Responsible for 17 maintenance personnel in a union environment.

Delegated, supervised, and resolved daily ever-changing priorities.

. Maintained facilities and equipment in a 300,000 sq/ft facility.

Addressed and repaired all facility issues. Maintained and completed

preventative maintenance on all equipment with 98.8% completion rate.

. Managed the maintenance budget in excess of $2.5 million. Responsible

for all plant purchases as well as receiving, with the exception of

to Du Quoin, IL facility. Responsible for the bare wire mill department.

Managed 6 wire draw machines, 4 tubular stranders, 4 rigid frame stranders,

3 serve lines, and 2 flat strap serve lines.

. Responsible for capital project budgets for 2006.

. Increased capital expenditure requests from 1to 6 and assisted with

writing 7 additional requests for other engineers.

January 2005 - May 2006 General Cable (Energy Division)

Scottsville, TX

Manufacturing Process Engineer: Responsible for the bare wire mill

department. Managed 6 wire draw machines, 10 tubular stranders, 3 rigid

frame stranders, and 2 double twist stranders.

. Responsible for capital project budgets of $1.2 million in 2006. Wrote

request for quotes, performance specifications, and capital

expenditure requests for projects.

. Devised a method to increase wire draw speeds 43% for center strand

indent markings by increasing print wheel diameter and reducing print

legend size thus reducing print wheel speed and overall pressure on

the bearing. This increased production output by approximately

258,000 lbs per year.

. Helped saved a 3 million dollar contract by resolving process issues.

The T-2 product was in jeopardy due to loose strand problems. Updated

procedures and incorporated measuring criteria to check for tension

between the two legs.

. Maintained line speeds by replacing two lube oil heat exchangers for

two wire drawers to maintain wire draw speeds during the hot summer

months.

. Ranked 3rd out of 11 energy plants in wire break analysis. Maintained

a spread sheet on all wire break samples submitted. Trained all

associates on the fundamentals. Sent out collected samples to ALCOA

for analysis.

Manufacturing Process Engineer: Responsible for 6 bunchers and 2 cablers.

Performed daily inventories, calculated operator and equipment utilization,

scheduled products and production runs for the Fabrication Department.

Made recommendations to operator process control sheets to standardize set

ups and minimize down time. Directly supervised 9 personnel and indirectly

supervised 17 personnel.

Oct 2000 - Aug 2003 Belden Wire & Cable Richmond, IN

Manufacturing Engineer: Responsible for 158 stranders, bunchers and winders

in a high volume manufacturing plant. Managed multiple, complex projects

totaling $1 million. Installed and documented new and modified equipment

installations. Provided supplier interface.

. Saved $120,000 in expenses by redesigning production process.

Determined existing winding equipment was causing reduced production.

Researched machines that would significantly increase productivity.

Negotiated free 90-day trials from two suppliers to evaluate

performance. Determined which manufacturer was best and purchased two

machines for production. Implemented quality metrics that

significantly increased reliability and maximized output by

approximately 50%.

. Increased strander machine output 50%. Largest Lesmos 800 mm strander

had excessive vibrations that had existed for years. Scheduled down

time and supervised complete maintenance review and overhaul. Re-

aligned the frame, replaced bearings and contracted for a laser two

plane fine alignment of a single counter weighted bow.

Final rebuild solved the long-standing harmonic vibration problem that

plagued the machine since it was initially installed. Increased

production by 50%.

. Implemented complex manufacturing system, reducing expenses $141,000.

Production line was experiencing excessive down time due to single

material feeder system. Replenishing materials caused frequent

production stops. Introduced multi-material supply machines with high

raw material supply capacity to eliminate down time and unnecessary

repetitive labor. Released labor to more critical areas reducing

expense costs.

. Managed budgeted projects accomplishing results within specified time

frames. Continually upgraded and improved stranding lines to increase

productivity through quality improvements. Provided quotes from the

various vendors to perform specific tasks including projects.

saving $466,000 in materials. Evaluated reduction of cable core

diameters and overall cable jacket thickness to reduce raw material

use. Determined wire diameters and thickness of protective cable

jackets could be redesigned to save material costs. Purchased new
