Snag-IT to create the manuals to incorporate actual screen
shots to explain the process better.
• The Abstracting module was pretty much built, the only thing
that I needed to do is maintain the new codes every October
by downloading the new ICD-9 code sets. I did, however
create training manuals, as well as trained my coder on how
to utilize the system and look at documentation to be able to
arrive at the correct diagnosis codes, and how to enter them
via date of service. I also created reports that I utilized to
show me the productivity of my coder, as well as a couple
