WORK: March 2011-May 2011: Receptionist at Banfield Animal Hospital

Duties include:

• Answering phones, taking messages, reminder/follow up phone calls, managed the

reception area alone

• Preparing paper work for the next day (ie. Circle sheets, surgery forms, drop off

appts., ordering up preventative care)

• Checking clients in and out, handling the cash register

• Assisted with blood draws, restraining for vaccines/injections, nail trims, IV

catheters

• Helped set up for surgeries (ie. Prepare IV fluids, draw up drugs, enter test results)

2008-2011: Kennel Assistant at Nucci Veterinary Clinic, St Clair Shores

Duties include:

• Clean and maintain kennels/runs, keep up with laundry

• Check in and put away inventory/food

• Stock surgery, treatment area, exam rooms, pharmacy

• Clean and wrap surgical packs, instruments, gowns, towels

• Restrain animals, assist with drawing blood, nail trims, anal glands,

injections/fluids, assemble and inserting IV catheters, X-rays, run complete CBC’s,

urinalysis, fecal exams, handle medications

• Sending clients home, working in the reception area, such as answering phones,

filing, making appointments, etc.

• Closing exam rooms, moping, taking out the garbage
