December 2007 to February 2009

Contract Electrical/Civil Cad Designer

Electrical/Civil drafting and design for Dashiell Corporation. Their main

customers are Exelon and their subsidiaries.

Also did work for PECO. Created drawings that were used to build electrical

high voltage transmission towers around

the country. Use of Google Earth and output from PLS cad were used to

create documents for bidding, information,

comments and construction. Also did drawings of in-house details and new

equipment. Responsible for in-house

drawing revisions with use of Meridian File Server. Autocad 2008 and

Microstation V8 were the main programs

used.

Contract Civil Drafting

February 2005 to October 2007

In-house drafting for ISTHA lighting contract for Tri-State Tollway. Sub-

Contracted out to area engineering

firms doing work for STV, INC., CHRISTIAN-ROGE AND ASSOC. and BURNS-

MCDONNEL. Helped create

documents for permits for several current IDOT/ISTHA civil/electrical

projects and also some mechanical piping

drafting/design work for the O'Hare De-Icing and Aircraft Maintenance

Facility and the O'Hare Field Fire Protection

Watermain project. Currently using AutoCAD 2002/2004 and Microstation

SE/V8.

Contract Electrical Drafter (MORCOM N.V. Inc.) November 2002

to July 2003

Worked on several METRA station upgrades providing electrical design

drafting using MicroStation, and also on the

new CTA Maintenance Facility design.

Contract Design Drafter (MORCOM N.V. Inc.) January 2001

to June 2002

Prepared bidding/construction documents for the F.A.I. Route 80/94/IL 83

Ramp/178th St/Bernice Road IDOT

Reconstruction using MicroStation. Started work on several CTA Brown Line

station upgrades. Produced new

AutoCAD raster files from old CTA structural as-built drawings by scanning

and digitizing old CTA documents.

Survey Technician/Teng Construction/Survey Dept. June 2000 to

January 2001

Office and fieldwork was done in collaboration with the Chicago Department

of Water, Chicago Water Partners and

other City Depts. Compiled current and accurate pre-design existing

drawings for review and action. Search of City

and County engineering records for the identification/location of all

above/below ground utilities on the 29 sites that

were affected by the CWP design and reconstruction of approximately 60,000

LF of existing water mains for the City

using MicroStation. Produced drawings using MicroStation for the A.T.S./

People Mover Project at O'Hare Field.

Contract Design Drafter (MORCOM N.V. Inc.) June 1999 to

April 2000

Worked on The Lakefront Busway Project from Millennium Park to McCormick

Place to Martin L. King Jr. Drive using

MicroStation for the City of Chicago. O'Hare Field Terminal 3 Apex Food

Court design and Indianapolis

Airport Control Tower design using MicroStation.

Civil Design Drafter

AutoCAD & MicroStation work on many IDOT projects as well as local

design/drafting assignments. Gathered

and processed live video traffic data, vehicle actuated traffic counts and

oral/written questionnaires for an Iowa/Illinois

Traffic Study in the Quad City area for the location of the new Quad City

Bridge. Traffic counting for the Route

290/88/Roosevelt Road Widening Project in Westchester, IL. Prepared

drawings for the Route #336 Macomb Bypass.

Maintained Anti-Virus protection updates of the Chicago/Midwest LAN server.

Devised numbering system to track

location, maintenance schedules and lease reports of company electronics.

Temporary Contract

Hired as a contract civil design drafter for six months

floating between departments and became a permanent employee

in December 1990.

Design Drafter

December 1990 to January 1993

Floated between the electrical, mechanical, and civil

drafting departments. Worked on new construction and

renovation

projects such as: UM-AL-QURA University in Saudi Arabia,

McLaren Regional Hospital in Flint, MI., International

Terminal #5 at O'Hare Airport, Kraft Headquarters in

Northbrook, Loyola Medical Cancer Center in Chicago,

Toyota Facility in Aurora and the USG Headquarters in

Chicago. Prepared several presentation boards for various

architectural design competitions.

Involved in the drawing and design of Contracts #11, #12, and

#13 of the Grand Rapids Municipal Sewer Project in
