EMPLOYMENT
TAC WORLDWIDE Santa Clara, CA 2008 -
2009
Mechanical Designer
Pro-E skilled user who successfully supported critical design and detailing
projects for BAE Systems. Valued as a day to day engineering resource on
the Bradley Fighting Vehicles program. Professionally utilized Pro-E
Wildfire 3.0 and Interlink software to generate designs and detailed
drawings, while simultaneously checking for government compliance.
Developed an integrated and continually updated schedule to track
deliverables and milestones, and issue weekly and monthly updates.
. Initiated and drove the adoption of an enhancecd internal process for
new drawing releases that minimized lost documents, reduced redlines,
and which which allowed for a faster time to market
. Consistently released parts and assemblies in a timely and thorough
manner through both the Checking and Configuration Management
departments.
. Partnered with multiple engineering groups to gain detail sign-off
LAWRENCE LIVERMORE NATIONAL LAB Livermore, CA
1981 - 2008
Mechanical Designer
Long-term Technical Asset who designed and checked highly detailed parts
integral to the success of the National Ignition Facility (NIF) Laser
Program. Work performance, insight, and quality contributions led to being
granted an NIF program award for efforts in correcting errors between
models and drawings. This initiative subsequently ensured the proper
tracking of discrepencies to purchased parts. Successfully detailed
subcomponents and assemblies for the Line Replacement Unit, containing
approximately 500 different parts utilizing Pro/E Wildrire 3.0 and
Interlink.
. Generated the Spatial Filter Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) revisions in
a timely and compliant manner. This required the design and reworking
of both new and existing models and assemblies. Additionally
delivered multiple concept revisions to assist in gaining design
completion status
. Accurately designed and detailed multiple components for seismic
restraint drill fixtures for the LM4 & LM5 switch yard. The drill
fixtures required a dimensional transfer of the hole locations to
ensure consistent accuracy
. Creatively designed and detailed parts critical to the support of a
variety of experiments geared at meeting project goals on the AVLIS
(Atomic Vapor Laser Isotope Separation) Project
