Seattle University Youth Advocacy Clinic, August 2010 - December 2010,
Rule 9 attorney work
Represented a client at a Gerstein hearing to argue for pre-hearing
release and against a finding of probable cause
Worked on cases involving real juvenile criminal defendants from the
initial client interview through case resolution
Successfully negotiated dismissal of one case at the pre-hearing
meeting with the prosecution, appeared before the court in another
case that the judge ruled for dismissal, and oversaw a third case
which was postponed until after my graduation so I could not be
involved in the hearing
