Recruiting & Hiring: Technical lead implementing a Java based Recruiting &
Hiring application, running on UNIX with an Oracle DB. Manage project
plan, build-out and install all environments (development, testing and
production), integrate interfaces with HRMS and other application teams,
perform data conversions, loads and extracts, handle all client specific
application configurations, work with vendors in resolving application
issues, installing patches and fixes as needed, work closely with test
management team during SIT, UAT and Stress Testing. Work with individual
IS groups during development and configurations for Single Sign-On,
Monitoring tools, Reporting and Production Support.
Project Lead - Workforce Management Delivery, Data Warehousing and
Architecture
Workforce Management Delivery Outsourcing: Manage a team of associates and
consultants including offshore resources for an integrated workforce
management business process outsourcing service. Currently support four
clients (all in production). Responsibilities include: Manage the design,
development, implementation and support of all Scheduled Report components,
including Unix server instance set-up for multiple frequencies, Unix
scripts, Database Loads, Scheduling Components, Cognos Report Admin & IWR
components, all which are designed to run Scheduled Reports through batch,
and to be loaded to a DB2 database for display on the Portal. Additional
responsibilities include Informatica Administration and Cognos ReportNet
Portal Customizations and security for base demo to be shown to prospective
clients.
Production Support Lead - Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing
Plan Sponsor Sight Data Warehouse: Manage Production Support for an
extranet-based business intelligence environment that provides a new
knowledge service to our Fortune 500 level clients. The project is an
integrated decision support environment of benefit related measurements
used to identify and forecast trends in a client company's compensation
packages and plan utilization. Responsibilities include: All facets of
Production Support, including responsibility for building the initial team.
Act as liaison between TBA Technology and outside areas (Unixtech, DBA's,
network group, production scheduling, EFT team, Cognos reporting team, and
other teams as necessary). Lead the production support team throughout all
coordination and implementation phases of new client set-up (one month and
history loads - to date >225gb of history - rolled-out 120+ clients in 9
months), and Unix scheduling and support (24/7) of ongoing monthly
production data loads which exceeded 156gb within a timeframe of 7 days.
Technologies used include Informix RDBMS XPS 8.3, Unix Kornshell scripts,
and Cognos front-end. Received Hewitt Recognition Award for excellent work
on this project.
Infrastructure Lead - Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing
eCRM Data Warehouse: Infrastructure Lead responsible for implementation of
an eCRM data warehouse for Sageo, a Hewitt Associates eBusiness. The
warehouse is used to analyze customer profiles, path to purchase based on
life events, marketing campaigns, score and segment customer populations,
customer contact experience, product affinities, and web traffic
(clickstream) information which is integrated with other channel
information (call center, sales and marketing). This information is used
to measure customer relationships and the revenue profile of existing and
potential customers and plan providers. Technologies used include Oracle
RDBMS 8.1x, Webtrends and Business Objects. Daily warehouse loads designed
to be "hands-off". Development effort of this e-business initiative was
developed and implemented in less than 2 months. Received Hewitt
Recognition Award for excellent work on this project.
PeopleSoft Financial Data Warehouse: Infrastructure lead responsible for
design and implementation of the business intelligence environment used to
integrate PeopleSoft Financial & Human Resources ERP and other legacy
system's information through the corporate intranet. Production
implementation has been in operation for years and supports over 3500+
users, including all management levels in the firm. Directed multi-unit
team during development of the warehouse. Evaluated staff technical skill
levels, defined roles, designed project plan and trained associates in
business intelligence best practices. Received Hewitt Recognition Award
for excellent work on this project.
*** Within the same timeframe development was underway for this warehouse,
I also acted as an IS Internal Auditor for several technology areas within
Hewitt for their ISO Initiative.
PNCMortgage: Vernon Hills, IL June, 1992 - November,
1997
Project Lead
Coordinate and directly participate in the timely loading of deal (i.e., a
pool of mortgage loans) data for Security Processing, Master Servicing,
Conduit and Trade Room areas of the Company. Use Informix 4Gl, SQL, ACE to
build tables and extract data for management reports.
Respond to, and resolve daily client requests for service, and perform
various project related tasks in a UNIX environment.
Developed and implemented a system to automate the deal load process. This
application reduced load time by 83%, and allowed the Securities
Corporation to post a record breaking $850.9 million of Mortgage Bank
Securities during the first quarter of 1997 (the system was developed by
one other individual and myself in our free time over a 12 month period.
Nominated by management for the 1995 Performance Award for this
contribution).
Developed and implemented a process to transfer secondary market data from
mainframe to UNIX platform.
Team classes for developers and end-users: beginning and advanced Informix
SQL; capabilities and employment of the Deal Automation System.

Assigned to Producer Incentive Processing System:
Sole resource. Performed analysis, coding and testing of a mainframe
system, which calculates commissions, advances, and deficits for Producers
(Loan Officers).
