Over 17 years participating in all the aspects of information systems development and maintenance. I

have been a key player in developments from simple applications for small and medium size

businesses to multimillion dollar projects for large corporations and State agencies.

During all these years in the Information Technology industry I worked as a Project Manager,

I was hired for 3 months for the data conversion project and ended up spending eleven years at CalSTRS.

During this time I worked in all phases of the system development life cycle of CalSTRS’ complex

pension system. The system is developed in Natural ADABAS in a mainframe environment where most

of the code is generated with Construct. The database files are maintained using Predict. The batch system

utilizes TSO and JCL.

My responsibilities included:

* Design and Code in Natural.

* Design and Implement changes to ADABAS using Predict.

* Generate and Modify Natural Code using Construct.

* Identifies subsystems and interfaces, and performs impact analysis in relation to other systems.

* Analyze service requests and problem reports and prepare impact analysis and estimates of

schedule and effort.

* Develop and Implement Design and Programming Standards and Techniques.

* Analyze, design, code, test, and request the installation into production approved modifications to

existing applications.

* Assist as directed in the review of design, code and documentation of Client’s developers.

* Create or modify development and testing environments.

* Facilitate JAD sessions and conduct design and code walk-throughs.

* Prepare documents in accordance with SDLC and Client’s standards, including but not limited to

functional requirements documents, technical design specifications documents, test plans, system and

program documentation.

* Prepare written status reports and participate in project meetings

* Provide expertise and mentoring to Client’s staff and other business users.

* Provide knowledge transfer to technical and program area staff.
