. Recruited by the President of the Medical Division to improve
the net cost of goods from supplier partners/manufactures and
which, in Year 2000, totaled about $700 million.
Subsequently built the team that impacted the other two
divisions ($2 billion in Year 2004)
. Created a Vendor Relations Team (VRT) to build strategic
partnerships and collaborations with partners/vendors to
offer best unified solutions for the three Schein Divisions
. Launched the collaborative category management process by
hiring, training and developing
the VRT specialists - 11 product and market experts in
disposable gloves, medical and dental instruments,
international/domestic strategic sourcing, medical surgical
products, diagnostics, medical equipment, generic
pharmaceuticals and injectable pharmaceuticals & vaccines.
The Team grew pre-tax income across all divisions from $19
million to $54 million (rebates)

. Created/executed a "Virtual Pharmaceuticals" business plan
