I am looking for an entry level Mechanical Engineering position that allows me to

OBJECTIVE:

exercise the fundamental engineering knowledge and problem solving skills I

obtained in my undergraduate experience.

Virginia Tech ME Senior Design Project: Electronically Steerable Speaker

EXPERIENCE:

Array, 2009-2010

• A year-long course in which students select a specific project and experience the

design process from problem definition to product realization and testing.

• As Head of Acoustic Design, I coordinated acoustic research efforts of group

members and designed two of the most integral components of the working

model: the beam-forming array pattern and the analog steering circuit.

• Gave a project summary and funding request presentation to the VT Student

Engineers’ Council and succeeded in our project receiving University funds in

the amount of $1300.

• Assembled and tested a working prototype. Our final design was very

successful and resulted in our project being selected by the ME department to

be continued in the upcoming year.

Laborer, Summer 2008

• Worked full time (often 50 hours/week) on structural renovation of Coles

Elementary School.

• Performed various tasks according to job demands: removing/replacing walls,

removing old insulation, operating machinery, etc.

Grocery Team Member, Summer 2007

• Worked part time between Spring and Fall semesters of college.

• Maintained organization and safety of the grocery area.

• Helped customers with location of products and provided assistance

to customers with disabilities.
