PROJECTS
Changelog at VMware (summer internship)
This project was to develop a web tool (and a web service) to find out the changes between any two valid builds and their
dependencies. This was an interesting problem to work involving design and implementation of a generic architecture
independent of build system, source control repositories, query optimization by caching the custom generated objects for
reuse and thus conserving multiple database/repository call processing .
Python, Django, Postgres, Perforce June 2010-July 2010
Build Failure Identifier and Bugfiler at VMware (summer internship)
The project involved an end-to-end design and implementation of a generic framework which would triage the root cause
for the build failures and file the bugs accurately. The project attempts to solve the problems like finding out patterns from
failed build logs and resolving them precisely to get relevant keywords which could be meaningful to be identified as
reason for failure. The project design includes development of pluggable components and a smart parser which would
learn based on heuristic approach, leaving enough room for extension
Python, Django, Postgres, Perforce June 2010-Aug 2010
Musica at Stony Brook University
This is a J2EE project to maintain and search a database that contains information about artists, their music and other
data related to them. This is a work in progress that will also include features like playing music and videos and other
interactive features.
J2EE, MySQL January 2010
Tour(with Multicasting and ARP) at Stony Brook University
Developed an application using raw IP sockets which walks around ordered list of nodes, similar to IP SSRR, pinging the
source node with ICMP echo request messages through SOCK-RAW type PF_PACKET socket . Implemented ARP and
Tour module for the project
C December 2009
On-Demand Routing at Stony Brook University
Implemented an On-Demand shortest-hop Routing (ODR) protocol for networks of fixed but arbitrary and unknown
connectivity, communicating in directly with data-link layer, using PF_PACKET sockets. This implementation is based
on (a simplified version of) the AODV algorithm.
C November 2009
Reliable File Transfer with UDP at Stony Brook University
Utility for secure and reliable file transfer over UDP instead of TCP. Implemented application layer data transmission
reliability, flow control and congestion control using TCP-like ARQ mechanisms
C October 2009
SpicyConnections at Yahoo! India Hack Day
Developed in two days event at Y! India Hack day, the application addressed spamming and fake profiles issue in
social networks. It used YOS and YAP apis to restrict interaction between “not connected” users through a pre-
established network’s feedbacks only.
PHP, YOS, YAP, MySQL February 2009
LabelBuilder at Oracle India Pvt. Ltd.
A J2EE web application for generating builds, running regression tests and tracking overall release process for
different Oracle products.
ADE (Advanced Development Environment), Perl, Oracle 10g, J2EE Feb 2008-June 2008
TransactionMonitor at Oracle India Pvt. Ltd
Automated report generation for user commits to the source tree for different oracle products.
ADE, Perl, JSP, Oracle 10g Dec 2006-Jan 2007
BuildPro at BayPackets Technologies, India
Automated build and packaging process for the testing teams. System generated notifications by this command
line tool helped the respective test teams in effective time-management and prioritizing multiple projects.
Shell Programming, Oracle, Rational Clearcase Dec 2005-March 2006
Merge_v1.0 at BayPackets Technologies, India
Implemented checks in merge process to proactively resolve any issues before actually committing into the Source
Control System (Clearcase). The implementation triggered necessary programs to do the check and notified the
developers if any issues were occured
Shell Programming Oct 2005-Nov 2005
ACTIVITIES
* Provided trainings on Source Control Systems, Rational Clearcase and ADE for multiple teams at
BayPackets Technologies and Oracle India.
