I held was at the Joint Chiefs of Staff as an Editorial Assistant - I
proofread all documents for errors prior to sending to the Admiral for
signature, who at that time was Navy Officer, Admiral Crowe. I would open
mail and send to the appropriate office, would assist the AFIS at the
Pentagon for "war games" during 12 hour shifts when necessary. I
maintained a SCI clearance. I would also make travel arrangement and
maintain calendars of suspense documents that needed to come from the other
J's for example, J-1, J-2 and so on.
I worked as a Cashier at the Ft. Belvoir Commissary, a Clerk Typist for the
Night Vision Laboratory and a Secretary for MERADCOM. I also worked as a
File Clerk in the travel office, and the Air Force Intelligence Service as
a Secretary. I am familiar with the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines, the
Joint Travel Regulation, DD form 214s and military terminology. To
further my career I left Ft. Belvoir and worked at the Surgeon General's
