human impacts to identify vulnerable ecosystems; responsibilities

included locating data on marine ecosystems and threats, mapping the

data at 1 km resolution using ArcGIS; assisted in final write-up of

Interned for Dr. Annemarie Schneider (UCSB Assistant Professor in

geography) as a remote sensing analyst using Landsat ETM+ imagery for

global mapping project; performed classification analysis, spectral

mixture analysis on various global cities

supervision of Patricia Norris, producer of the Xpeditions web site

that offers K-12 lesson plans that are aligned to National Geography

Standards. My responsibilities included updating the website,
