Selected to chair task force to address, prepare, and develop ability to

respond to potential terrorist activity. As an EAS level 22, I installed

latest Bio Detection technology on all types of processing and

distribution equipment within major facilities in North and West Texas,

while formulating the proper response procedure to authorities. To date no

fatalities have occurred in this area as result of injection of hazardous

materials into processing operations.

Measured productivity and costs associated with processing methods. As an

EAS level 20, Installed specific automated equipment to increase

productivity of facility off setting the initial investment cost and would

contain future production cost. Conducted additional studies in other

facilities with similar results.

Led contract negotiations with Union officials representing the 400

members. Created atmosphere of trust between management and unions. Reached

agreements on all topics of impasse and finalized contract benefiting both

parties.

While in an EAS level 19 position, I assumed the position of arbitrator

between management and unions to resolve issues affecting production and

operating costs. Utilizing the National Labor Agreements as guidelines,

heard grievances, then applied rules and regulations impartially based on

merit of each. Based on consistency of decisions in arbitration managers

and supervisors were able to make better and more consistent with support

of the union. Increased productivity, improved employee-management

relations and reduced operating costs.

Transitioned Arlington, Texas Distribution Facility from manual methods to

automated processing. Installed small area read system, along with adding

automatic feed systems to existing manually operated equipment. Increased

productivity while lowering labor hours.

Turned around facility not performing to expected standards. Conducted

full facility operations analysis and conducted meetings with Union

Officials, Supervisors and Managers, Maintenance Managers and Production

Employees. Developed and implemented strategies designed to make facility

successful. Facility received recognition from Headquarters as model office

and today is known for its service to community.

Community activities

As my family continued to grow in outside activities, so did my

responsibilities

in the community continued. Enjoying working with youth, I served as a

baseball and softball coach with the Pioneer Youth Association in Saginaw

on

several different occasions. Now I am fortunate for having time enough to

help coach the baseball

team for ten and eleven year olds.

Interests and activities

I now spend at least an hour per day in the gym exercising and power

lifting. I also ride my bicycle at least 10 miles a day 3-4 times weekly.
