Vice President Product Management, Energy Management Systems
I manage all aspects of the Energy Management Product Line. I direct
interaction with customers, product suppliers, new product development for
these Web based DDC products. I interview customers and prospects to
determine the best feature/function set so as to maximize the acceptance
and purchasing of the products throughout the market. I prepare the
specifications that the product development teams use to build the
products, which use RF technologies of 802.15, 802,11, ZigBee, and M2M, for
Energy Management with implementations involving Direct digital
Controllers, Advanced Metering Infrastructure, and Smart Grid.

Energy Management Systems Product Manager
I managed all aspects of the Energy Management Product Line. I directed
interaction with customers, technical product partners, off shore hardware
producers, internal engineering, software research and development. I
worked directly with offshore developers and Quality Assurance to ensure
product requirements were met. I was responsible for new EMS features and
enhancements to Energy Management software and firmware, including central
control system, wired and wireless network communication, and DDC embedded

SafeAssured Product Manager
I was responsible for establishing the product markets for the Child ID
system "SafeAssured". This product incorporated state-of-the-art forensic
ID capability to allow law enforcement organizations all the information
they needed to quickly identify a missing child. I was responsible for
determining the specific product features that would be necessary to
successfully release the product into specific vertical and geographic
territories.

Entrust Technologies, Dallas, TX 2000 - 2001

Entrust products are Public Key Encryption products that have become
crucial to the security of financial transactions, especially over the
Internet. I was responsible for determining the need and subsequent fit of
Entrust Products into Banking and Electronic Funds Transfer software
products and establishing partner relationships that would capitalize on
those technical and distribution collaborations.
Paylinx Corp, Dallas, TX 1999 - 2000
Vice President, Global Distribution
Paylinx was a Web-based producer of a product which greatly reduced the
cost of accepting credit cards by Internet retailers. I was responsible for
determining through my international contacts exactly how this product
needed to be built such that it would satisfy the global requirements of
credit card acceptance.
Autotester, Dallas, TX 1996 - 1999
Vice President, Global Distribution
Autotester is a software company producing automated regression testing
software tools. I was responsible for determining exactly how these
products needed to function, considering such characteristics as multiple
language support, such that they would allow distributors to successfully
market in their respective geographical territories.
S2 Systems, Dallas, TX 1986 - 1996
Vice President, International Professional Services
S2 Systems is a software company producing Electronic Funds Transfer and
Medical Claims Processing Software. I was responsible for managing the
implementation of the software at all customer sites outside of the United
States, including establishing and training technical and customer support
groups located within 7 major global markets. Most of these partners
developed add-on software modules for "localizing" the functionality of the
product; I was responsible for homologation of those add-ons with the base
product, licensing of the application program interfaces necessary to do
the add-ons, and coordinating support for the combined product.
First American Bank, West Palm Beach, FL 1984 - 1986
Chief Information Officer
I was responsible for a staff of 30 at this $1.5 Billion Commercial Bank.
My responsibilities included selecting all software products which were
acquired to perform the various banking functions at the bank.
MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
* I formed a collaboration of R&D and Sales and a major prospective
customer, which identified a new set of uses for our software opening up a
completely new market segment
* I built an international organization for an e-commerce oriented software
firm, establishing partner relationships, including product development for
localization, in 5 major international regions of over 70 countries, and
hired key personnel in those countries to manage sales and implementations
for software and hardware products.
* I have written and negotiated scores of business partner contracts,
including sales channels, technical collaboration, "localization"
development, implementation services, and support
* I established an OEM program, worth $20 million, that opened a new market
for a series of technology products
* I presided over an international professional services division growing
it from a staff of 10 to staff of 70 and opening seven new offices in
Europe, Far East, and Australia
* I researched and identified major industry trends, and based also on
competitive analysis, developed software strategy including marketing
programs, performance criteria, contractual relationships, and sales
support
* I created an incremental revenue generating division called the Business
Analysis Group which, as a billable consulting service, prepared business
plans, strategic plans, feasibility studies, and cost/benefit analyses,
which added $5 million in revenue the first year
* I have written press releases, spoken at conventions, and been
interviewed in trade journals on issues related to industry trends and
directions
