Medical Assistant Apprentice, Cooper Physicians, Gloucester, NJ March,
2010-Present
Medical Assistant to Dr. Daniel Hyman. Duties include patient and
patient room preparation. Recording vital signs, administering
injections, urine and EKG testing, as well as assisting Dr. Hyman with
various procedures are common tasks. Duties also include patient file
management, appointment scheduling, and processing referrals, both
manually and through Epic practice management software.
Assistant Manager in Training, Arby's Restaurant Group, Marlton, NJ
September, 2006-Present
A primary focus is ensuring a positive customer experience, preventing
issues and resolving any that may occur. Management responsibilities
include training personnel toward certifications that enable advancement
and eventual promotions. Other duties include opening restaurants for
business and closing in the evenings, maintaining inventories, balancing
cash drawers and bank deposits. Scheduling staff to efficiently meet
business demands is a daily task. Knowledge of OSHA and FDA regulations
as they pertain to the restaurant business is required.

Completed 850 hours of individualized Medical Assistant instruction that
consisted of hands-on training in a real-life environment. My skills
include taking vital signs, interpreting test results, wound care,
disposal of hazardous medical waste, injections, phlebotomy, performing
electrocardiograms and maintaining electronic health records. I am
certified in CPR. I possess personal and computer skills essential to
being productive in a medical office.
