Objective
My objective is to motivate people and drive them to reach their fitness goals.
Leading by example, I want to show what a healthy lifestyle is and push them to
attain their own level of health and fitness. Whether the ambition is to stop taking
blood pressure medicine, lose weight, or just to stay active, I provide the tools and
motivation to complete any of these!

I have created workouts specific to the person and their lifestyle and
needs. I push people to take control of their health and work hard to decrease
their chances of diseases related to obesity. I have also worked with individuals
with the following conditions: obesity, heart disease, diabetes, fibromyalgia, old
age, rotator cuff disabilities, knee replacements, gastric bypass and metabolic
syndrome.
I am also in charge of keeping the Personal Training department organized
and running efficiently. I am in charge of making sure all supplies are stocked
and seeing that the required supplies are ordered when needed. I make sure the
training department has enough copies of all papers and forms needed including
the health history questionnaire and the body measurements tracker.

I teach those seeking to be personal trainers the basics of anatomy and
physiology, the personal side of training, selling and keeping clients, nutrition
and how to continue their education in this field. There is a test they must pass
at the end of the course to gain certification. I must pass an evaluation in order
to continue to teach the class. This 6 week class is offered 5 times a year.

Substitute Teacher
January 2007- present
I take care of the classroom when the teacher is absent and keep the class
under control. I carry out the lesson plans left by the teacher and find creative
ways to keep the student’s attention throughout the day. This job requires that I
speak clearly and keep the attention of many students for long periods of time.
Volunteer experience
Appalachian Service Project (ASP). Every summer the church group goes on a one
week ASP trip. This week is dedicated to helping others in need by working on
interior and exterior house projects and building a strong connection with the
people of Appalachia.
AWANA program at church. I help with this program by driving children to
church, feeding them dinner, listening to bible verses’, keeping them under control
and then taking them home. This is a very rewarding activity as I have been able to
grow close to a few of the children.
Women’s Aerobic Class. This class was held at my church for all ladies of any age.
We worked out 3 times a week for 4 weeks. After two weeks, we changed their
workout to promote muscle confusion. This class was free. I handed out stretching
workouts and light routines for everyone to take home.
Vacation Bible School. I help out with the different age groups every year at Bible
School for my church.
Senior Games at Salisbury University. I helped set up the course for the bicycle
race and recorded times at the half way point. For the swim meet, I kept times
using a stop watch for every athlete in lane 6 for backup times. I helped set up the
swim meet and take it down.
Special Olympics in Salisbury Maryland. I helped get the children into the water
and cheered for everyone for every event. We set a positive enthusiastic atmosphere
for all the athletes.
