Iraq)

Wrote statements of work that helped the Iraqi government buy over

$100 Million in communication equipment. While scrutinizing the

contracts awarded that saved an additional $5 Million in contractor

over charges. From tactical radios for the Iraqi Army to

installing the communication backbone for the Iraqi MOD.

Developed systems and procedures that for the first time allowed

the Iraqi MOD to have computers and Voice over IP telephones.

Provided budget estimates and recommendations that saved the Iraqi

Government $25 million during the end of year budget review and

renewing of contracts in support of the Iraqi Ministry of Defense.

Awarded the Bronze Star for many accomplishments during

mobilization.

center as a telephone support professional on the Directory

Services Support Team. While at Microsoft Mr. Lofton:

Represented Microsoft and communicated with corporate customers via

telephone, written correspondence and electronic services in regard

to finding solutions for technically complex problems identified in

Microsoft software products.

Solved highly complex levels of problems involving broad, in-depth

product knowledge and in-depth product specialties; which included

support of additional product lines.

Frequently dealt with politically charged situations requiring the

highest level of customer skill.

Collaborated on cross-team and cross-product technical issues by

working with resources from other groups as needed to resolve

Migrated from a Dial up Networking System used by remote users to a

Virtual Private Network Solution using Cisco PIX and Managed DSL

Circuit.

Directly responsible for designing and implementing the business

plan required for converting the entire LAN network from a

Token-Ring LAN to a switched Ethernet-based LAN with Cisco

10/100/1000 Switches, STP Cable and 6 & 12 conductor Fiber.

Developed the plan for sample restores of critical data to ensure

system and data integrity was maintained.
