Experience / Qualifications
From the late 90s to the early 00s, I maintained parallel careers as a copy
writer/journalist focusing on lifestyle marketing, a multimedia
producer/web designer specializing in audio (for clients including 3M,
Mitsubishi, Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, and David Copperfield), and an
independent record label owner. In these capacities, I gained an
appreciation for the Internet's power as a sales and marketing tool, while
also witnessing the negative effects of online piracy. As revenues for the
music and newspaper industries declined, I took a full-time position
developing online content for an educational textbook company, beginning as
a multimedia specialist, overseeing the production of audiobooks, then
eventually moving up to project management and instructional design,
dealing with all forms of online media.
